Listen, does somebody have access to the shonen jump chapters? I have internet sources, but they dont work. - Count Mall

Characters

We are also missing alot of characters, like Fou.

Who ever added those missing characters, and added the missing pics, I thank you deepley. I was gonna come home and do that (even though my manga dowload source is crap), and I thank you for geeting that out of my way. -Count Mall

I recently added some characters. I also added their pics. Somebody added better pics. Thank you. I've ownly read volume 1-3, and chapters 78-82 (my download source is crap). Thank you. -Count Mall

Using this page

I have no idea why I put this here, but I'm the only one who uses this. Its become more of a "Count Mall's log".

Daisya Berry

What chapter did he die in?

He dies shortly after the Crowley arc, if that's any help.

When does he make his first appearence?

Never mind, I found out.

Guzol

Guzol, an accomadator to Lala's innocence heart? It was possible? Did you notice how Lala wasnt the same when her heart was put back in, but was exactly the same seconds before she broke? Guzol may have wished that she was back to normal.

Guzol wasn't the accomadator. just because he was near the innocence, doesn't mean that it was his. That is why they took it back to hevlaska to wait for a general to find its accomadator.

Allen's pics

Should this go up?

I made this pic, it shows Allen's weapon's stages. Should this go up?

On a seperate note, we have a pic of Allen, Lenalee, and Kanda from the anime. I know that I put it up, but there are more important things that can go there.-Mall

Vote for Miranda's pic

Pic 2

Okay, we have two pics that two diffrent people want to use for the Miranda Lotto section. Pic 2 was the one that has been there, and depicts Miranda several volumes in the past. Pic 1 is a pic that is new to wikipedia, and depicts Miranda as she is now. Vote here for which one gets to be posted. Right now, Pic 2 will serve as the default pic untill the vote is over.

A unanamous poll was made to cancel this poll -Mall

Viz Media Name Changes

This is a small edit, but in Miranda Lotto's section, there's a small footnote that says her name is spelled "Miranda Lot" in the Viz Media edition of Volume 3. However, in my version it's actually spelled correctly. Perhaps there was an update, so is it alright if I remove the footnote? I can provide scanned evidence, if necessary. --Mr. Toto 23:23, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

No, no. It calledher Lot. -Mall

The unknown Noah

As for the lack of a pic for the UN, heres a hyperlink to her only appearence: [1]. I would make one myself, but I cant increase the size without pixalating it. -Mall —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Countmall (talkcontribs) 20:36, 28 December 2006 (UTC).

Lavi Bookman

Its stated that Lavi is part of the Bookman clan, so would that mean that his last name is Bookman?--Count Mall 19:00, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Don't think so, he's an orphan but accepted into the bookman clan. So he doesn't necessary need to have "Bookman" as his last name. Since it is also not explicitly stated in the manga whether he has a last name or not, i feel that we shouldn't name him as " Lavi Bookman"

Just like Bookman(Panda) he stated that he doesn't have a name. But for simplicity, he allows others to call him by Bookman, which is his clan.

Bookman-s here i believe, are not related genetically, i believe the term is used for a group of historian who records the past(of the earl and the noah). So i don't think that there is a whole Family Tree of Bookman. I translate Bookman as a clan since it has the nearest meaning to the above.Delzac 02:57, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

Pictures for togaochi

is it possible for someone to upload the picture of a togaochi in Suman Dark and for the main page of DGM, Togaochi, The Fallen OneDelzac 12:12, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

Sure it is! I'll ge taround to it! --Count Mall 18:14, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Anime characters

Could we put the anime-only characters on a serpaerate page. If we put them all here, this page will be really big really fast. I'll start it off, but I just need some approval first from you guys. --Count Mall 21:12, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

Actually, I went ahead an did it anyways--Count Mall 21:35, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

Well i believe that it will be better if you separate anime character from the actual manga ones. Since, well the anime characters are strictly speaking, not related to DGM, so better to separate it.Delzac 12:41, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

I know, thats what I did, I put them on a seperate page --Count Mall 18:13, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Johnnys Robot

well since it was a invention made by a order member shouldn't it go under black order characters insted of anime only characters. i mean komulin 1 was only in the anime but it in the black order characters --Allen Walker 18:33, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

I'll move it. If anyone's too against the move, they can move it back. Xiao-Mei27 21:54, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

No, Komurin 1 was mentioned in the Japanese version of the manga--Count Mall 19:42, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

Jeans Maid

would she count as enouth of a character to have her own bio? --Allen Walker 18:33, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Reverse Novel Characters

Should we add some characters from the novel series? I've read the first two chapters of the first novel. Although they have some interesting characters, I am unsure about this, since not many of the other mangas' pages seem to have anything on novel characters. Xiao-Mei27 03:33, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

Sure, add em in. --Count Mall 19:42, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

Anime Pics?

Don't you think its about time the characters that have appered in the anime to have anime pics intesd of the manga one. this is just my opinion but i think by now they should --Allen Walker 8:57, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Collecting Pictures

I am collecting pictures for the characters. I'm sure some others are too, but I'm going to let you know. I only have up to volume 8 and I cannot get a hold of the others. So I would like to know if anyone else is collecting pictures, who can access the manga volumes I can't, and what pictures we need. I would know you would like the pictures to be from the manga, if possible. But I would request that, in addition, the pictures be in a group shot format. Or as many as possible,to save space. And please note which chapter or episode the picture is from and what scene. I don't know if that's needed, but I like to be prepared. I also like to be aware of these things.
I know I sound a bit demanding. itzjustdrama still new to this (talk) 02:59, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

Allen

I think Allen is almost ready for his own page. Note the "almost" (like in a few chapters). -Count Mall

  • Yes, I was thinking about doing the Allen's article on vacations. Not only him, Lenalee also have a lot of material on the series (Kanda and Lavi, even being the other 2 main characters, still doesn't have so much to be said). So, I agree with that, but, of course, with a much more detailed info than the one they have now. - Access Timeco 13:04, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

OK. Allen is DEFINATLEY ready for his own page --Count Mall 19:45, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

Debit and Jasdero

For the past few days, I've been updating Debit and Jasdero's profile. Only to find that on the next day, all my edits are gone. And so I update it again. Only to find that it has been deleted yet again. I wrote something about Debit and Jasdero's gender, which chapter 98 raised doubts about. I'm not making it up. You can go see chapter 98. Of course, my computer has been having problems lately, so that may be the reason... if it's not my computer, I'd really appreciate it if the person who's been deleting my edits would stop.

I fixed it. I hope it's better now. I sort of doubted that they were girls, too, but I don't speak Japanese, so I have to depend on the fan translations. Thanks to the user who cleared up the confusion.

I am translating the manga at Mangahelpers.com (I know everybody could say that, so just disregard it, if you want) My translations are always interpretations. I rewrote the paragraph containing as much neutrality and information as could.

Please note, that when I say they're girls, than that is to be seen as my opinion. The fact is: we don't know. I would not be surprised if one of them or both where guys. Nobody knows, and speculations (like the "~tama"-thing I said) do not belong into an encyclopedia. I am currently translating night 100 the fact that what was written here implied, that I was trying to make ppl think they're female, while they are *insert weasleword here(obviously/probably/...)* male, just botherd me too much.

I hope the present version is neutral enough, as I only pointed out facts from both sides.--87.160.227.122 17:00, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

Their genders probably aren't that big of a deal. They're probably male, like everyone assumed. The translation just caused some confusion. No, speculations really don't belong in Wikipedia. I'm glad people are taking such good care of the D. Gray-man page. Jasdebit's gender will most likely be confirmed soon, anyways. Keep up the good work!

Yeah. In fact, I use this article, when I forget character names (which happens quite often). Chaoji is missing, btw... --87.160.227.122 19:20, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

In Chapter 102, Debit tells Lenalee to "... shut up and act like a girl or I'll rape you! Do you want that?!" I'm gonna say that's proof that at least Debit is a guy out of the two of them. Still not too sure about Jasdero even though he/she got pretty upset about his/her golden hair being damaged. Kangarugh22 06:05, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

Hmm...That might be a translation error. My version said, "I'll rape you even though I'm a girl!" Anyone have any idea which version is right?

The version I posted is right. NJT, the owner of Mangahelpers.com and one of the best translators around, cleared it up for me. Kangarugh22 01:00, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

Do they actually merge together? It showed they did, with a pic, but it was deleted. Do they actually merge? Or was that fan manga? The pic looked genuine to me. If they did merge, its worth mentoning and showing the pic. -Mall

Yes they merge, they merge into Jasdevit. and I believe both are guys because... is it ok to say this? their chests are those of a male, if you get what im trying to say. -Anonomous

Toma

I've added Toma's profile. Feel free to edit. Xiao-Mei27 22:21, 4 December 2006

GREAT! I congratulate you! When I first started working on this, I intended to do that, and I forgot! Thank you! Now who does those great pics? Could that person put one up for us? - the Count

Cleanup

To be honest, these character pages are in horrible condition in comparison to other lists and character articles (List of Naruto characters for one), and heavy cleanup is needed to bring them up to par. List of D.Gray-man anime-only characters for one needs to be merged into List of D.Gray-man minor characters, as we don't separate out anime-only characters, and List of Earl of Millennium followers needs to be renamed to List of D.Gray-man villains for a more inclusive and generalized title. That and every single article on individual characters needs to be merged because it can't meet WP:FICT. Before any complaints are brought up, provide an iota of critical reception for these characters from a verifiable, reliable secondary source. Since you probably can't, then you really have no argument. Discuss. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 02:13, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

Agreed on all counts, though I'd be more inclined to say merge the Earl of Millennium followers here along with List of Black Order members, with both of course needing plenty of cleaning up and sourcing. All lists need to be cleared up to remove a bunch of one-shots as well. A person appearing in a single episode/chapter doesn't need mentioning at all. AnmaFinotera (talk) 03:25, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
Like this Sephiroth? http://comics.ign.com/articles/702/702496p1.html --Superneoking (talk) 03:18, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

The subject has come up once again. We have too many character lists (List of Black Order members, List of D.Gray-man characters, List of Earl of Millennium followers, List of D.Gray-man minor characters, and The Noah Family). This page itself really isn't a character page. Mana doesn't really fit minor characters, but neither does he fit the other lists. I think we should look at the above again and consider clean-up. Itzjustdrama (drama?) 19:38, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

B-class checklist

I have completed the checklist per request. A few comments follow.

  • B2=N: Some sections should be expanded on, if possible:
    • Creation and reception.
    • Merchandise.
    • Exorcists, Generals, Black Order Asia Branch (Let these sections act as a lead to the following sections; currently it provides little overview of the Exorcists (et al) groups. Refer to List of Tokyo Mew Mew characters#Aliens for an example: Note that it provides some overview of the individual characters, and that the reader will get a general idea of the topic without going into the sub-sections).

The old structure was bad to say the least. We don't need terminology pages - that's the purpose of a "setting" or "plot" section in the main article. A character list in the mold of List of Naruto characters is what is preferable, and having tertiary lists for specific characters in a series is not the way to manage things. sephiroth bcr (converse) 15:48, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
I agree with Sephiroth BCR. The new structure is much better in the sense that it is in line with the current Featured lists. It is also far too detailed (e.g. Terminology, List of Black Order members, Earl of Millennium followers). It should be possible to upgrade it with only a moderate amount of effort to Featured status, something that is not possible in the old structure.
Ps. Mind the civility.
Regards, G.A.S 16:16, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
"possible to upgrade it with only a moderate amount of effort" — now that is blatantly false, but agree with the rest :p sephiroth bcr (converse) 20:41, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
I believe there may be misconceptions regarding what I meant by moderate. (In this case, a lot of work but not impossible) ;) G.A.S 20:58, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

Own Pages

anyone else think that Allen, Linalee, Lavi, and Kanda need their own page? or at least when the manga gets a little more farther? and maybe put all the Noahs on 1 page so we can put in all the details about them? -Anonomous #2 12 September 2008 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.160.169.11 (talk) 00:31, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

To create a separate page, we need real-world info about them, such as reception or creation and influence. The Noah did have their own article. It looked like this. It was really hard to find something to bring it out of in-universe perspective, so the best was a merge. Personally, I worked quite a lot on it and hated to see it go. But all that work made it easier to fix up this article and create their own little section. Really, if someone can find enough info to create a suitable article that won't get speedily deleted. By all means do it, but I've got my hands full on this one. Sorry for the trip down memory lane, folks. Itzjustdrama? 00:36, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

I think that we need pictures of the characters from the anime

Actually, we don't "need". We could have, it would be cute, but not "need". Let's remember wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a fan site. So, the images are here just for the sake of identification, only that (even if people in other articles don't do this). One image is enough for a character and the manga ones are more clear than the ones from anime (not to mention they already have an uniformed size). What we "need" is use the less images possible. Actually, one could say we already have too much (almost every character listed here have an image). - Access Timeco 00:05, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

Well, fans use wikipedia as a fan site, because they cant pay for their own. Are you a "lives by the book" type of guy? Abyway, I get that adding anime pics may take up too much space, but you dont need to go around, acting like an old married women "We have too much...". One pic for each character is fine. Forgive me if I sounded rude. - Count Mall

Yes, you sounded. I don't forgive, because I don't care enough. - Access Timeco 00:15, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

If Wikipedia is in fact an encyclopedia then images accompayning the characters is exactly what we need to better identifY who is who because this goes along with the theme of Wikipedia. The less is more approach would in fact contradict that purpose because an encyclopedia's primary purpose is identification and explination. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.122.94.5 (talk) 05:52, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

I don't know the policy exactly. But I would like to keep the number of non-free (or unfree, I'm not sure) to a minimum. There is such a thing as excessive use. I think {{non-free}} is the appropriate template for that. Group images are better representations and are more encyclopedic anyway. If such image doesn't exist, then we should illustrate the few more main characters. (quoting Erachima there) Itzjustdrama? 20:44, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

Q about Fou

I know this doesnt have anything to do with this, but this is the only place where I can an answer... ok, Is Fou's hair pink or orange? because I see in some pictures and cosplays and stuff that her hair is pink, but in the anime its orange... which is it? You could say im doing her cosplay and I dont want to get it wrong... 98.160.169.11 06:20 17 September 2008 (UTC)

Minor Characters

Specifically, Lo fwa, Jerry and Johnny seem to be minor. So they might be moved over to List of D.Gray-man minor characters. Anyone think anyone else should be moved? Itzjustdrama? 03:03, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

More production

(Already posted in Talk:D.Gray-man) There is a fanbook called gray ark that seems to have a lot of conception info of the series. If anybody has it or has read it, it would help a lot to add the information to the article. Thanks.Tintor2 (talk) 16:25, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

14th Noah

Why is the 14th Noah mentioned under the Antagonists if he opposes the earl? In the manga nor the anime he is not mentioned as a evil/bad guy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pindanl (talkcontribs) 17:37, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

Well, the only reason I placed the 14th under Antagonists is to place him under the Noah Family heading. Placing him some where else on the page rather than under the Noah heading seems a bit odd to me. Itzjustdrama? 19:50, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
Maybe you should mention him in the part about the Noah Family in general and place him with the other characters.(Pindanl) —Preceding undated comment was added at 15:46, 3 October 2008 (UTC).

Separate articles for any characters

I do not understand why Allen Walker's original article was deleted. If a reception section is needed, Allen Walker has gained some attention in terms of that. An example would be, IGN considered him a great character with a dark past, he was rated 20th most popular male character of 2006 and 2007 at Animage magazine's annual Anime Grand Prix, and his ratings in the D.Gray-man popularity polls. There is a lot of material to talk about his past as well as his abilities and present situation. I think he should get his own article back especially since he will likely gain more Western attention when the anime comes to America. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 147.4.89.126 (talk) 22:26, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

I'd like to see a source for the the annual Anime Grand Prix. And the reason I myself haven't created his article is because I'm terribly busy with other articles and real-life. ~Itzjustdrama C ? 22:39, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
Past this, there's practically nothing that offers critical commentary on Allen directly, and I'm not going to make a reception section based on that alone, as it will never pass WP:GAN. If more commentary is released in the future, then he can have an article. Until then, there's not enough to cut it. — sephiroth bcr (converse) 23:02, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

Very well then. I am certain once the anime is released in North America, he will gain some more attention. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 147.4.230.79 (talk) 17:52, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

reverted links ???youtube spam???

It was two links to copies of the primary source material, so I see no reason why I get this UW-spam1 warning, or the edit comment. You may remove it for what you think of as being not useful, but this is going overboard. 70.55.200.131 (talk) 11:47, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

Personally, I don't think it's necessary.I don't remember if this is true off the top of my head, but some of the names presented do not match those we use. In other words, they don't match the Viz Media translation. In that respect, they aren't useful. Also, I think it needs to come from an official Youtube channel, but I need to check up on that one. The manga, another primary source, also has this list as well as the anime, as you have stated. However, if you feel the anime omakes still need to be mentioned, we can provide a citation using {{cite episode}} and if the reader feels the need to watch the video or episode, they can do so. ~Itzjustdrama C ? 20:11, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

Merged

Was there a reason why ALL the character lists were merged? now it's just a vague mess with some of the important characters' facts left out >.> 98.160.169.11 06:33, 30 October 31 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.160.170.83 (talk)

The were all merged because four different lists is a bit unnecessary. In addition, it's impossible at this point to keep the lists because the characters received little reception and therefore little notability. The article is designed to match List of Naruto characters and I know it's still a mess in some places. Personally, I don't think anything too big is missing, but if you do be bold and add it yourself. But then take into account we are trying to keep detail to a minimum. ~Itzjustdrama C ? 12:20, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

Is it time to have their own charactors pages such that Allen, Linalee, Lavi, and Kanda and all important D Gray-man info such as detail characters overview, Anti-Akuma weapon and Akuma types. Fernvale (talk) 16:11, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

Detailed as in exactly what happened to them during every chapter? If so, that's too much plot. (See WP:NOT#PLOT). And the characters cannot have their own pages until reception info can be produced from reliable sources. Anti-akuma weapons are covered under the Exorcist section. I believe it is unnecessary to explain in detail the differences between akuma levels. However, the Akuma section is completely horrendous at the moment.... ~Itzjustdrama C ? 16:20, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
In addition, the terminology was deleted for valid reasons. The AfD is here. Minor characters are just that, minor and are therefore fail notability requirements. The Black Order members and Earl of Millennium followers lists were merged because notability can't be established for all of them, it's unnecessary and goes too much into detail. ~Itzjustdrama C ? 16:32, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
Just a note, but the Noah Family on the Millennium Earl followers page is badly merged. ~Itzjustdrama C ? 17:49, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

Citations

Just a reminder. Although the {{refimprove}} template has been long removed, some sections need references. There are 20 sections I think, everything from Skulls to Komui Lee. I'm pretty sure some of the references need some correcting. I'm looking into myself, but some help would be nice. If anyone would like them, I have the {{cite book}} templates half filled out on one of my sandboxes. Just pick a volume and fill in what's needed. ~Itzjustdrama C ? 01:23, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

End of D.Gray-man?

Is D.Gray-man completely finished? I ask this for two reason. 1. being that it seems episode 103 (despite it's "Fin") isn't nearly the end of what the story could be. And 2. because this page has statements that make it sound ongoing, such as saying a character hasn't re-appeared since X episode. That makes it seem like either the person hasn't finished watching/reading it at the time of writing, or is implying the series isn't done. King Rhyono (talk) 11:13, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

The anime finished, but the manga didnt.Tintor2 (talk) 13:27, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

English Voice Actors

It seems that some of the cast has been announced at the 2009 Ohayocon. Although I myself believe the cast that keeps being adding is true. I want to hold out on adding then for just a bit longer. Any comments on the matter? ~Itzjustdrama C ? 22:12, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

Oh, come ON!!! It's all over flippin' YouTube who the English cast is, so why not post who they are? Waiting until the end of March 2009 before posting it is just...wrong!! The individual members of the D.Gray-man English cast have already had their anime-ographies changed so that their Exorcist roles have been posted. Just put their names down already so you won't have to in the future. NorseNinja (talk) 19:49, 7 March 2009 (UTC) NorseNinja

Youtube is not a reliable source. Although AnimeNewsNetwork is reliable and this page uses it for the Japanese cast, it currently uses a forum post as a source. I personally don't care if the actor's individual Wikipedia articles have been changed to say they are casted in D.Gray-man, but until there is verification they are in the dub, like say how Brad Hawkins resume says he is in it, I refuse to to add the voice actors until the release. Whatever time I have to add it doesn't particullary matter to me either. I would rather miss my chance now to 100 percent verify the cast. ~Itzjustdrama C ? 19:33, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
@ Itzjustdrama: Keep in mind that anyone can edit the page as long as the information is accurate. Waiting to 100% verify the cast is just being too perfectionist. Let people edit the page because you don't own the article. NorseNinja (talk) 20:01, 7 March 2009 (UTC) NorseNinja
Wikipedia is based on verifiability, not truth. If you add it with a reliable source, then I will not revert it. In the meantime, I'll ask the two other collaborators listed under the D.Gray-man over at Topic Workshop for their opinions on the matter. ~Itzjustdrama C ? 23:48, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

ANN has some of the English voice actors; those are fine for inclusion. If there are changes down the road, then we'll change it as other reliable sourcing comes up per WP:V. It's not really necessary to wait for a complete verification if we have reliable sources indicating as such. — sephiroth bcr (converse) 23:56, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

The source from ANN is now something questionable. If it is a new, review or product it is reliable, but if its the ANN encyclopedia it can unreliable since it is editable by any user. (I already found a few issues such as fanarts in naruto pages from ANN encyclopedia).Tintor2 (talk) 00:21, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

(EC) I don't think there is really any need to rush with including them. The DVD comes out at the end of the month, which isn't that far away. That said, since this isn't a featured list right now and as long as its limited to those actually listed on ANN, I don't see a problem with including any that are already listed in reliable sources, even if it is sourced to a forum (particularly since the one I see is sourced to a post on the AoD forum where the English director confirmed them. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 00:32, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

Well what if people are unable to verify where the information comes from? Do we just say "Sorry you can't put that info down because there's no citation" and revert it? Most people can't verify where the stupid info comes from largely because they are unable to. Just leave information as people post it and you can edit the page after actually looking further into the issue yourself instead of erasing what they just wrote. It's not fair for the people who want to post what they know about something. Geez, you people are making this look like a government monopoly. NorseNinja (talk) 01:44, 8 March 2009 (UTC) NorseNinja
I did look into it. However, because the most reliable source depended on a forum, although that forum post is verified by the ADR director, I was iffy on it. I believed it was better to wait a month for the DVD release. So I removed them saying the reverted edits were good faith edits. But if you feel that they should be included this minute, then include it and add a reliable source for it. Two editors have said that it is fine for inclusion. ~Itzjustdrama C ? 02:16, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
In general, yes, we do. If you can't say where you got some information, then its no different from having made it up. How do we know what you are saying is true if you can't verify it? See WP:V. Wikipedia isn't a rumor mill, nor the place for people to post who they "hope" will voice these rolls, nor is it a place for people to add "what they know." It is for verifiable information that comes from reliable sources. See also WP:NOT. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 02:20, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
That's not being fair then. You're sounding like elitists who think that Wikipedia should be exclusive to people to know how to cite using HTML. I thought this site was for everyone in general.—Preceding unsigned comment added by NorseNinja (talkcontribs) 20:34, March 7, 2009
It is completely fair and has nothing to do with being "elitists", and you really need to tone down the bad faith accusations and border-line insults; WP:CIVILITY is another important rule. First off, Wikipedia doesn't use HTML. It uses Wikimarkup which is extremely easy to use, and the edit screen even includes easy buttons for most basic stuff. So that's a total non-issue. At minimum, a citation can easily be added with a URL between the <ref></ref> tags, or even just noting it on the talk page and saying "hey, here is a reliable source that verifies X voiced Y, can someone help me add the citation." No one said you had to add the citation yourself if you can't be bothered to learn the full citation templates, we said you have to be able to verify the info. If you can't say WHERE you got it from, either in the edit itself or on the talk page, you can't verify it. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 02:44, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

D.Gray-man Reverse

There are two novel adaptions of the series. It seems it gives quite a lot of background on the characters, although from the little I've read, little is actually helpful enough to add here. In the second novel, second chapter, there's this one line that explains why Lavi wears his eyepatch. A translation (not by me. Not by a long shot) goes like this:

People must imagine all sorts of things about Lavi's right eye, but they would never have imagined it was what had determined that he would become the next Bookman. This was a truth known only to the Bookman. What nobody needs to know.

Probably don't need those last two sentences, though. I understand the section perfectly fine, but how the heck do I explain it completely in one sentence. That's what I'm stuck on. ~Itzjustdrama C ? 23:49, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

Image for Creation and Conception

I have an page from Gray Ark that show early designs of the characters. I'd like to include the early Allen sketches; it seems to be specifically images of Robin, the protagonist of Zone and Allen's model. But I'm hesitant as the designs are similar. I'd like to as they are early designs of the protagonist. However, I think it would be better to include designs of a character or characters, as some pages have sketches of multiple characters, that are more noticeably different from their current counterparts. Comment? In addition, I have raws of only the sketches and profiles and I can't read Japanese. So the little creation, conception, and production info I have isn't helpful to me. ~Itzjustdrama C ? 22:06, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

I suggest you to request Japanese help in the wikiproject anime/manga. About the image, Im not sure since the section isnt very long. If the image shows several characters Im sure it would help. By the way, a group image from the Noah would help. Regards.Tintor2 (talk) 22:26, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

You have a point there. I'll go see that Japanese help to see if they see anything that'll lengthen it. And I'll keep and eye out for that Noah image. I guess it's best if the Earl is in it too. ~Itzjustdrama C ? 22:35, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
There's a suitable Noah group image from one of the endings. It has the Earl, Road, Tyki, Skin, David, and Jasdero. If that's good enough, I'm prepared to take a screenshot right after a green light. ~Itzjustdrama C ? 02:57, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
The guys from comipress tend to be reliable. However, it seems it was not confirmed.Tintor2 (talk) 23:20, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
True. I guess I should remove mentions of it then. Might offend her. ~Itzjustdrama C ? 23:25, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
I looked around some more. Although blogs aren't reliable, it seems that some think that it's only influence and wasn't on purpose. Others think it's direct copying and intentional. ~Itzjustdrama C ? 23:38, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
Talking about images. Should we change the existing Black Order group image to the cover of the 2nd Stage DVD 13? ~Itzjustdrama C ? 22:19, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
Normally, I'd be bold and change the image. But I'd like a comment first. I'll go and be bold on March 1 (UTC). ~Itzjustdrama C ? 02:41, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
Actually, its the second (UTC). So I'll be changing that image. ~Itzjustdrama C ? 22:08, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
Might as well go ahead with the Noah image too. ~Itzjustdrama C ? 22:34, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

Just a note, but I'm thinking of adding that Allen sketch from Gray Ark to Katsura Hoshino. To illustrate the similarities between Allen and Robin. (Bringing up Hoshino's article to B class woo!) ~Itzjustdrama C ? 00:24, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

That would be pretty nice.Tintor2 (talk) 00:18, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
