Talk:List of Catholic archdioceses

Diocese of Rome edit

Rome is not an archdiocese. It is a metropolitan, but only carries the rank of diocese. (Hence the Pope is called Bishop of Rome - not Archbishop of Rome.)

It is neither a regular diocese, an archdiocese or a metropolitan archdiocese. Gcatolic.com lists it as a "Papal See".
By the way, there is no "metropolitan diocese", only metropolitan archdioceses. See Gcatolic.com for a list of all different kinds of diocese existing.

It is the Holy See, I believe. john k (talk) 01:33, 13 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

China edit

The Vatican only recognizes Taiwan as the government of China, instead of Beijing, so when we mention "China" we should clarify which one we're talking about. --Lou Crazy 00:22, 13 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Name Change edit

As the main article has change to Catholic Church, this article ought to agree with it. I propose a rename to Catholic Archdioceses.--EastmeetsWest (talk) 21:46, 12 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
