Business interests edit

The business interests section is quite unbalanced and negative. Perhaps someone can find something good that Mr. Fox has done. Stifle (talk) 11:20, 9 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Here is some stuff which was removed, but that is partly negative too. will have a look. I have been dodging Linfox trucks this evening :) Casliber (talk · contribs) 11:44, 9 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
The business interests section is predominantly littered with allegations from neighbours snipping about his home improvements. Hardly any news on his business interests. It would be appropriate to delete the unsubstantiated comments about his home life and replace with the following:
Lindsay Fox, through his family company Linfox Australia Pty Ltd, has control of numerous business interests in Victoria in addition to its core road fright, warehouse and logistics businesses. This includes Essendon Airport, Avalon Airport, Luna Park, Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, the Australian Automotive Research Centre in Anglesea Victoria. In 2003 Linfox acquired Armaguard from Mayne Logistics.[1]

However he has also been able to use his government contacts to gain favorable treatment by being granted permission to land his helicopter near his Portsea home on crown land.

He also occasionally lands his helicopter on the Melbourne High School oval, and recently in May 2012 visited Melbourne High School to give an inspirational talk to the school in its Memorial Hall. Every year Melbourne High School has a popular raffle ticket sellout, and the four students from the entire school who manage to sell the most tickets are given the chance to ride in Lindsay Fox' helicopter to meet him at one of his properties in Melbourne, Victoria.

Edit request on 2 May 2013 edit

Good afternoon, Lindsay Fox has requested that the following information please be removed from this Wikipedia page as it is incorrect.

  • He has been quoted as saying that his early family life was difficult and that "I had a pretty abusive father".[4]

This is simply not true and the document referenced doesn't say indicate this either. The only reference to Lindsay Fox is as a member of the board and the pharse "I had a pretty abusive father" is part of a story of a 24 year old, Justin, from Melbourne.

  • but was asked to leave during Year 10

This is also incorrect. The source for these corrections is Lindsay Fox himself and these requests can be verified by calling Rebecca Adams [redacted]. 203.44.215.67 (talk) 07:10, 2 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Partly done: I have to completely disregard your claim to represent Mr. Fox due to how easy it is to impersonate someone on the Internet. Notwithstanding that, I removed the He has been quoted... sentence because it is not verified by the source given, and in fact I removed that "source" from the article completely as it does not really verify anything about Mr Fox. I did not remove the but was asked to leave during Year 10 statement because it is verified by what appears to be a reliable source. If Mr Fox himself wishes to challenge this material, please see this page for instructions on how to contact the Wikimedia Foundation for additional assistance. I can't guarantee that the folks who check that email address can help. —KuyaBriBriTalk 21:38, 2 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
