Ileana Sonnabend and the Sonnabend Gallery edit

Why is Ileana Sonnabend and the Sonnabend Gallery linked to this article? It should be "red-linked." I believe she was at an earlier time married to Leo Castelli. To the best of my understanding she had her own gallery at a point after they were no longer married. Bus stop (talk) 02:10, 15 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Request edit

Hello can someone make a Wiki page for Ileana Sonnabend, i would really appreciate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.24.236.75 (talk) 00:22, 18 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

The current situation is that the page exists as a redirect to Castelli see here. Presuming she was/is WP:N the article on Sonnabend would continue on this page with the redirect removed. Start the article yourself perhaps. Why do you suggest it as a "request"? --Artiquities (talk) 06:40, 18 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
I have now started the article by reworking material from the Castelli article --Artiquities (talk) 07:10, 18 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
I think Gilbert and George performed their singing sculpture at the Sonnabend Gallery. Bus stop (talk) 13:13, 18 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
I have added a few edits to Ileana Sonnabend, it needs more work though...Modernist (talk) 13:15, 18 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
Here it is: "Mrs. Sonnabend’s exhibitions often had the art world talking. One was “Underneath the Arches,” in which the British team of Gibert & George, painted gold and wearing tweed suits, lip-synched a British vaudeville song over and over. The performance opened Mrs. Sonnabend’s gallery at 420 West Broadway — one of the earliest in SoHo — in 1971." [1] Bus stop (talk) 13:24, 18 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Nice — a picture of "Gibert & George" included in that reference! Bus stop (talk) 13:56, 18 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Leo Castelli; Leo Castelli Gallery edit

Leo Castelli is both the name of a world famous contemporary art gallery that still exists, and the name of the person who founded the gallery. This article reflects both the Leo Castelli Gallery and the life and career of Leo Castelli the legendary art dealer. This might well be a case to put into use WP:IAR...Modernist (talk) 12:13, 1 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
