Go, Go Power Rangers? edit

If this is the basis for the first season of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, as I suspect they are, it probably should be mentioned in the Wiki article, along with a link to the US television show. Why this information is missing is mystifying to me. --M.Neko 03:18, 1 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Majin Bandora edit

Fractyl: As I already explained in the edit summary, "魔人" is said "Majin", not "Majo" (which uses the kanji "魔女"). Unless you can provide some official references that show it is pronounced "Majo" in this instance, it will be changed back to "Majin". "Majin makes more sense, too, since the description says she's the former queen of the fairies; another name for "fairies" is "majin" (literally "magical people"). Please provide some official evidence supporting your claim of "Majo" and I'll be fine. Otherwise, it will be switched back to the reading of the kanji, which is "Majin". --nihon 05:59, 27 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

  • In the many episodes(Episode 1), Bandora was refered as "Majo Bandora" (Witch Bandora). Here's the translation of her theme.

    • Thank you for the reference. I also looked at the Japanese page, and it appears she's called 魔女 in Japanese, not 魔人, so whoever originally put 魔人 in this article was simply incorrect, and that's where I was getting confused. --nihon 07:25, 2 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Shown on GMA? edit

As far as we knonw, Zyurangers was never shown on GMA. If so, can you please reference the dates as to when it was shown? If it was the first season of the Power Rangers you are referencing, only ABS-CBN channel 2 has exclusive rights to Power Rangers.

Tyrannosaurus not a dinosaur? edit

The trivia section had the following sentence: Some paleontologists believe that the Tyrannosaurus, was actually a type of bird, and not a true dinosaur at all. This is nonsense (Tyrannosaurus was related to the species that later became birds, but it was still a dinosaur), so I've taken it out. (If anyone feels like defending the above claim, I suggest you do so in the Tyrannosaurus article first, and then bring it here afterwards.) SpectrumDT 23:47, 28 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Fangpr.JPG edit

Image:Fangpr.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs and Dragons edit

I rephrased some comments about how many dinosaurs were in the group. Dragons are mythical creatures and CANNOT be classified along with real creatures such as dinosaurs. Also, pterosaurs have NEVER been classified as dinosaurs in a scientific sense, only poorly researched toys and such call them dinosaurs. Pterosaurs were flying reptiles that lived at the same time as dinosaurs. Khajidha (talk) 00:10, 21 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

When I was a kid, I assumed Dragonzord (the Power Rangers version of Dragon Caesar) was based on Allosaurus, because it looked similar to Tyrannosaurus. Of course, now, I realise it's based on Godzilla - the stereotypical Japanese dragon. Dino Thunder and its Sentai counterpart have a white dragon mecha - one of five which share their base animals with Zyuranger, so the argument applies to those series as well.
