Dalek edit

I wonder if Krang might could have been a Dalek.

I never saw that they had anything in common. --Ritchy 15 October 2005
They have much in common, their need to exterminate (krang the world/the ninjas. Daleks, everything). They are plain ugly (just some meat).
I disagree. Krang isn't trying to exterminate the world, he's trying to take it over. Their physical appearances are quite different - Krang's a brain, the Daleks are formless masses. Their robotic suits are completely different. And as a side-note, please sign your posts. -- Ritchy 22:28, 17 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

It says here that Krang isn't a Utrom.

However, I remember one time that Krang is having a flashback, and recalls a previous memory in which he is working together with other beings who are physically like him. If those aren't the Utroms, then what are they?

The Utroms do not have a body. Krang several times said he used to have a body, and it got taken away from him when he was exiled from Dimention X. The Krang clones had bodies and looked nothing like Utroms. And the Utroms do not come from Dimention X. The flashback you mention is the only exception, and it is more of a continuity error than anything else. These points are all already discussed in the article. -- Ritchy 19:19, 1 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

I like the notion of him being a Dalek though, and think it would do well if one were to ever write a crossover between TMNT and Doctor Who. Except one thing --- if he were a Dalek, his goal wouldn't be to "destroy" the Turtles, but to "exterminate" them. ;)

If it helps, the Kraang from the 2012 series are kind of like the Borg from Star Trek with their hive mind mentality Booger-mike (talk) 18:07, 21 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Where did Shredder meet Krang? edit

Is this ever explained anywhere? The first time we see him the 87 cartoon series is with shredder when he calls him to his room in the technodrome. I wonder where they met and how. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.217.147.41 (talk) 01:37, 14 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

It was never explained in the animated series or Archie comics. It's seen in the "Out of the Shadows" film, but that's another reality (a series which didn't exist back in August 2008). J 1982 (talk) 20:43, 26 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Smash Up version? edit

In the new game coming out, there is a character called the Utrominator. In fact, one of the creator's said that this is Krang's upgraded character (albeit the actual Utrom version of Krang that made a cameo in the 2003 series).

MODOK edit

Could Krang be a parody of MODOK? AmericanLeMans (talk) 02:17, 16 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

So much Original Research. edit

Far too much OR in this article, in the in-universe biography, the Utroms section, and so on. Really needs a tidy up.121.73.221.187 (talk) 21:23, 20 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Image edit

The image shows Krang as he appears in the OVA, not the 1987 series. The description needs to be changed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.64.178.151 (talk) 21:47, 19 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

We should have an image from the 1987–1996 series, and one from the 1988–1996 TMNT Adventures comics. J 1982 (talk) 13:37, 10 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Spelling edit

Is Krang's name officially spelled with one A or two? NintendoFan (Talk, Contribs) 21:40, 29 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

The character in the original 1987–1996 TMNT animated TV series and TMNT Adventures comics is spelled Krang. The extraterrestrial species in the 2012 TMNT animated TV series is spelled the Kraang. J 1982 (talk) 12:42, 7 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Rewrite of the entire article edit

The article contains outdated, incomplete and false information. It also puts emphasis on rather trvial information and seems to be written from a rather biased perspective. I'd suggest the biography section ought to be condensed into a section about his role in the Fred Wolf animated series and a basic description section of the character that fits more versions of him would probably be good to put above it. The comparison to the utroms seems like it can be written into the article in a more organic way and it doesn't seem like it needs it's own section anymore, as most material after the 90's depicts the character as an utrom anyway. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Abradrake (talkcontribs) 12:25, 12 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

New image edit

I suggest using the version from the original 80's series since Kraang Prime is canonically a different character from the 80's Krang, and is female. Booger-mike (talk) 18:09, 21 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

This is kind of old, but I agree. His 80s appearance is by far his most notable one.--Amelia-the-comic-geek (talk) 02:04, 13 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
