There's reports already that the old Fitz & Brooks afternoon show will be revived - starting after Labor Day 2006

It was made official through their website on 9.2.06 - the return of the Fitz & Brooks show which last existed between 1998 and 2001. 69.111.167.219 05:24, 7 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Controversial statements edit

Remarks like the following need to be sourced:

KNBR has often been criticized by its local fans for being "soft" on the home teams, especially those teams in which KNBR carries the broadcasts (49ers, Giants...etc). In 2005, KNBR is involved in a controversy for firing the popular host of Sports Phone 680 program, Larry Krueger, when Krueger called out Giants manager Felipe Alou as incompetent and made reference to the Giants' "brain-dead Caribbean hitters hacking at slop nightly." Most fans believe Krueger was unfairly treated and should not have been fired. Many fans, as well as print and radio journalists, believe KNBR lost its credibility as a sports station when it fails to stand up against the financial interest of the local teams.

KNBR 1050 (aka KCTS) edit

KNBR 1050 (KCTS) has it's own history and either that should be discussed in this article or it should be discussed under the title "KCTS" rather then having that redirect here. The sports station KNBR 1050 started out as a Spanish language radio station sometime pre-1980's before it was changed to an oldies rock & roll station, then back changed back to a Spanish language radio station in the mid-90's. I think there should be an article on the history of all the AM stations that occupied 1050 on the AM dial in SF though I not sure the best way to handle it. --67.101.214.121 (talk) 17:52, 2 October 2011 (UTC).Reply
