Cöthen

I'm prepared, in a footnote, to give a list of 4 important musicological works in English where the "Cöthen usage" is standardized, but I'm not sure the best way to go about this. Can anyone help? History section

Shouldn't it be expanded or rewritten? For the most part, it talks about a cultural event that's taking place in a particular location since 1944, but this has little to do with history.--87.255.89.160 (talk) 08:05, 8 March 2020 (UTC)

Name

The title of the article has 'Anhalt' after the town's name in parentheses. But it's not clear why. Anhalt was formerly a duchy containing Köthen but this is no longer the case. Köthen is now within the Land Saxony-Anhalt. In any case, including the larger geographic category in the name is not standard usage. This would be rather like an article title of 'Boston (Massachusetts)' or 'Bristol (Avon)' No explanation is provided in the article, so unless any reasonable counter-argument is offered, I suggest the title be corrected to 'Köthen' Point of Presencetalk 23:00, 17 January 2023 (UTC)
