Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page edit

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:

poorly constructed sentence edit

where it is said that '..he also shared the conference doubles championship all three years and later served six years as captain and coach of the United States Junior Davis Cup team.' this sentence is poorly constructed. 'he shared the conference doubles championship' is referring to college when john was 20 years old.

'six years as captain and coach of the U.S. Junior Davis Cup team' is referring to when john was in his 40s and is a totally different topic and should be developed further, later on in the article. he happened to coach arthur ashe and stan smith who later became famous pro tennis players, and who are now household names. most everybody knows these two players. If he was involved with the development of these players,as it seems you would be if you are their coach and are still an active ex-professional player, then this is significant. keep in mind that these players were high school age. I know, because I played junior davis cup, and you only do this right after graduating from high scool when you are 17 or 18 years old. after that, then you don't qualify. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.45.27.117 (talk) 19:11, 10 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Question(s) to develop article edit

Perhaps someone who knows John could ask him a question periodically to help develop this wiki article..

Here is a suggestion for the first question: One question concerns Davis Cup. It seems that John has had a life long relationship with Davis Cup. He coached the USA Team for the Junior Davis Cup for six years, and then in another phase of his life (keep in mind we are talking about a longer span of time then most tennis players) he played for the USA Seniors' Davis Cup team. Could you elaborate on your relationship with Davis Cup? What years were you active? and what years where you inactive? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.166.83.52 (talk) 20:21, 12 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

We don't use interviews for information in the article unless they are published in an outside reliable source, however, interviews can sometimes help us find information for the article in other sources. We probably shouldn't be asking for specific information unless it would help us find a source, though. Maybe we could find some information from official Davis Cup sources... —PC-XT+ 03:09, 16 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
