Verification requested edit

There is no corroboration at present for the date of death. It was removed in accord with WP:BLP but the IP poster has replaced it, with a little more detail regarding illness. Note requesting corroboration left on editor's talk page. --Old Moonraker 16:26, 29 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

The IP poster now has an account and has left a note on my talk page. He/she appears to be acting in good faith. --Old Moonraker 20:13, 29 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
Google News link now has confirmation, giving the date as supplied by User:87.127.ed. --Old Moonraker 20:16, 30 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
I was a professional colleague of Normington, at the Royal Shakespeare Company, for 4 years and i was in intermittent contact with him throughout my subsequent career in other theatre productions. I don't see the necessity for the edits referred to here (above). Anybody can check the obituary pages of the major London newspapers and confirm the details without intrusive, and unsolicited changes. By the way everybody in the (Theatre) business knew him by his official nickname 'Nora', and even the broadsheet press in the UK also used this. Outsiders may not be aware of this.Miletus (talk) 10:02, 30 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
Normington first appeared for the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1962 and, up to his last performance for them in 1999,
appeared in 30 productions (R.S.C. Archives)Miletus (talk) 10:46, 31 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

"Nora" edit

"John (Nora) Normington was born..." looks like it was his name at birth. Propose to include the origin—playing a character of that name in rep—if I can find the details. --Old Moonraker (talk) 12:50, 31 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
