April 2007 edit

  • 29th - I requested a copy of the zoo logo and permission to use it, I also requested more up to date information about the animal collection. BeckyAnne 17:48, 29 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
    • We can use the logo under fair use on this article. I think this would be suitable. But if they want to get us a nice, prettier looking one then so be it. :) Cburnett 00:04, 5 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
      • Ok, Will grab one, though that logo you linked is the Zoo Society Logo not the Zoo Logo. BeckyAnne 22:42, 7 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
      • Grabbed a logo and added it. BeckyAnne 23:00, 7 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

May 2007 edit

Would any one be upset if this article was moved from John Ball Park to John Ball Zoo. John Ball Zoo is currently a redirect to park page. I would like to keep the article consistent with other WikiProject Zoo articles. BeckyAnne(talk) 19:55, 24 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Makes sense to me, since there is a park but the article is about the zoo. For another example of this, see Reid Park Zoo. There is a "Reid Park" but there is nothing notable about it to have an article. --Spike Wilbury 03:42, 6 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
Ok, unless someone opposes the move I will make the move next time I have a chance, is there anything special I need to know about to move a page? BeckyAnne(talk) 04:16, 7 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
I am finally getting around to moving the article, going to move it to John Ball Zoological GardensBeckyAnne(talk) 19:39, 4 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Funicular edit

This is technically not a funicular. I linked to the inclined elevator page for explanation. It is still a noteworthy example because of the three-car configuration and I hope I got that point across. Multiple cars might even be unique but it would take some research to review all other inclined railways, funicular or not, before that can safely be said. Demise of the zoo's sitatunga edit

News as of May 17, 2023: the zoo's pygmy hippo murdered the sitatunga, to which it had just been introduced. 173.88.246.138 (talk) 22:50, 17 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
