The two articles provided hardly constitute a "consensus" by other non-Korean media sources. Even in the same sources added, the other side of the controversy is addressed equally.

1) "On the other hand, in areas under occupation by the Japanese military, such as Indonesia and China, entries in documents related to war crimes trials by the Allied forces included testimonies that showed local women being forcibly taken away by soldiers and made comfort women. In Indonesia, Dutch women living there were also made comfort women." - Asahi Shimbun Article

2) "Most mainstream historians agree that the Imperial Army treated women in conquered territories as spoils of battle, rounding them up to work in a system of military-run brothels known as comfort stations that stretched from China to the South Pacific. Many were deceived with offers of jobs in factories and hospitals and then forced to provide sex for imperial soldiers in the comfort stations. In Southeast Asia, there is evidence that Japanese soldiers simply kidnapped women to work in the brothels." - New York Times Article

This is about Japan-Korea relation not Indonesia, China or Netherland. The descriptions I added are situations in Korea. If you disagree with the "consensus", I will attribute it to New York Times and Asahi Shimbun. Also please feel free to add anything in the above descriptions as long as it is related to Korea. A bit concerned about the neutrality

I was about it edit something in this article in light of the recent trade dispute (it was already edited when I got here) when I came across several paragraphs worth of biased and unsourced post made by the same user according to the article's edit history. I don't know how to exactly deal with this kind of issue so I thought the best thing to do is to undo the user's post and bring this issue to light. I know both countries have a lot of disputes between each other, but I have a bad feeling that there might biased user's from both sides who might push their own feelings and narrative unto this article. I just think we should keep a closer eye on this article and others related to it.

Unsourced content can be challenged and removed immediately. If it is outrageous, I just delete it - if it looks plausible, I tag it and give the editor a couple of days to do what was supposed to have been done in the first place. 50.111.3.150 (talk) 02:25, 25 August 2019 (UTC)
