Nickname pushing edit

For future reference, any and all additions of "Uncle Jake McGee" as a nickname can and should be removed from the page. The nickname was added in 2012 with this unsourced edit, and remained in place long enough for the this article to be written which claims the nickname is real. It is not. This situation mirrors Mike Trout's nickname saga. As a quick summary, the unsourced nickname "Millville Meteor" was added to Trout's page and picked up by the media as factual, though it is now commonly used in reference to Trout. There is no such common usage of "Uncle Jake McGee". There is an anonymous editor who has been pushing this nickname onto the page for several years, likely in an attempt to replicate the Trout situation. Thank you for that summation. – Muboshgu (talk) 23:22, 12 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Semi-protected edit request on 2 April 2020 edit

Please allow me to make some edits to this artice. Some information is missing Astrosfan20201 (talk) 15:31, 2 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Not done: this is not the right page to request additional user rights. You may reopen this request with the specific changes to be made and someone will add them for you, or if you have an account, you can wait until you are autoconfirmed and edit the page yourself. Protection edit

Does this still need to be protected? --2604:2000:E010:1100:7970:6CEA:7159:A47A (talk) 10:22, 19 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

User:Muboshgu-I vote for lifting the protection. Thanks. --2603:7000:2143:8500:F57D:E78E:CA0F:BB07 (talk) 19:40, 25 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
It's been protected for three years. Hopefully that was long enough. I'll unprotect it on a trial basis, but if that "Uncle Jake McGee" nonsense comes back, so does page protection. – Muboshgu (talk) 18:58, 26 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
We just had the first reinsertion of "Uncle Jake McGee". I'm not hopeful about this page remaining unprotected much longer. – Muboshgu (talk) 21:12, 5 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
And we're protected again, because whoever the "Uncle Jake McGee" vandal is, they figured out that the page was opened for business. – Muboshgu (talk) 21:17, 5 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Too bad. I guess we can’t just block them for some reason? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2603:7000:2143:8500:2821:F240:4804:18F3 (talk) 05:06, 11 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Error edit

In the first paragraph, someone should add “the” before “Tampa...”

Also in the first section below it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2603:7000:2143:8500:2821:F240:4804:18F3 (talk) 05:07, 11 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 20:47, 1 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
If you stop evading your block for a few months, then go back to your original account and request an unblock, you'll be able to edit to your heart's content. The issue that led to your original block was making unnecessary changes to articles (like shuffling the infobox fields around when Wikipedia automatically displays those fields in the correct order) and failing to communicate with other editors.
