Talk:Israel–Saudi Arabia relations

Judging the neutrality of this page edit

Putting media theories in the headline really challenges the idea that this page has been made in neutrality, refuting solid evidence of there being no relations such as when the foreign minister Adel Al Jubeir explicitly says in the [Arab News] interview that there would be no relations unless there is a two-state solution in exchange to this is just absurd. Media and internet theories and/or all claims cited using media outlets that have anonymous sources should be conserved for a separate “theory” section, or an entire page for a matter of fact. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mickey.Zahrani69 (talkcontribs) 10:09, 7 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Things which might be mentioned on the article edit

Should be something about how many in Saudi royal circles were convinced for many years that Zionism was identical to Communism, and were constantly telling Western diplomats and national leaders that the existence of Israel was a Jewish plot to spread Bolshevism throughout the middle east. That was pretty much it as far as a special Saudi approach to the Israel-Arab problem from the 1940s through at least the 1980s... AnonMoos (talk) 20:48, 27 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Should include that before 2002 the main distinctive Saudi approach to Israel was identifying Zionism and Communism as identical, while in 2002 the Saudis produced a peace plan which the Saudis regarded as a huge bold daring leap, while many Israelis regarded it as a ho-hum undistinguished generic 1980s-style plan, which had nothing to say about the actual specific realities of 2002. Also, for a number of decades, the Saudis tried to keep all Jews out of Saudi Arabia, without exception for foreign diplomats (Horace Phillips (diplomat) etc...) Diplomatic Cable edit

The language in cable section is highly partisan and should be changed. The Zero Hedge reference is also redundant and should be removed (adds no information over the news channel page). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.223.155.89 (talk) 20:11, 21 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Operation Opera edit

The part that states that Israel cooperated with Saudi Arabia during Operation Opera is false.

This is what the Operation Opera page states:

"The operation started on 7 June 1981, at 15:55 local time (12:55 GMT). The Israeli planes left Etzion Airbase, flying unchallenged in Jordanian and Saudi airspace.[59] To avoid detection, the Israeli pilots conversed in Saudi-accented Arabic while in Jordanian airspace and told Jordanian air controllers that they were a Saudi patrol that had gone off course.[41] While flying over Saudi Arabia, they pretended to be Jordanians, using Jordanian radio signals and formations.[41][68] The Israeli planes were so heavily loaded that the external fuel tanks that had been mounted on the planes were exhausted in-flight. The tanks were jettisoned over the Saudi desert" — Preceding unsigned comment added by A112212aa (talkcontribs) 21:42, 14 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

The news of dozens of Israelis being able to enter Saudi Arabia with Israeli passports should be added in the article. edit

In May 2022, Israeli media outlets reported that dozens of Israelis were able to enter Saudi Arabia with Israeli passports using special visas. [1]
