Opening heading edit

There are no Timings listed for Stations like Malakpet,Falaknuma etc. I wonder why SC Railway does not post timings on its site. Hi. I've added the timings (at Secunderabad station only for now). -Harsha. --Vsriharsha 03:55, 3 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

MMTS is very good option for suburbun and city people to travel and to escape from city trafic, but why SC Railways is not running more trains and expanding it, eventhough many people are opting MMTS as their daily trveling vehicle.... - kiran b--203.145.191.6 04:46, 14 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi Kiran, It is shared with mainline trains which places a constraint on the number of servcies. there are no dedicated lines like in Mumbai. --Hydman 10:07, 2 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

I have added a cleanup template due to the more than obvious un-wiki like sections.Leif edling (talk) 15:35, 27 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

MMTS Information is not available on these numbers. You will need to call those stations specifically to get the details.

MMTS, HyderabadHyderabad MMTSRelisted. Vegaswikian (talk) 22:50, 7 November 2010 (UTC) As in official website, title should be different [1]. Also MMTS, Hyderabad like comma notation is for localities of the city only like Ramnagar, Hyderabad. Relisted. Comment: Hyderabad MMTS is more readable (Ex: Chennai MRTS sounds better than MRTS, Chennai). However, the article can be moved to Multi-Modal Transport System (Hyderabad) which is a more clear title. --WorLD8115 (TalK) 17:19, 1 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Train time tables edit

I have removed information on time tables for the second time because I don't feel the information is encyclopedic. Furthermore, the official link does not appear to be reliable ("Updation in Process... New Time Table will be available very soon. Inconvenience caused regretted"), and the other site seems to exist to serve advertising, and doesn't appear particularly verifiable compared to the other sites serving similar information out there. If someone wants to add that information back, please discuss here first and only do so if you gain consensus.

Note: Per Wikipedia:External links, links should not go in the main article text. If consensus is for adding them back, an External links section should be made at the bottom of the article instead. wctaiwan (talk) 14:48, 5 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Official website for MMTS train is ready and the link has been updated in External section of the page. I believe it is required to know the time table for which they are looking for wiki page. both the official website and the local train timings website were added in external links. Feel free to discuss on this before taking any action.

Advice: always go with the most reliable and stable external link available. Adding: and remember that Wikipedia is not a directory of information! Pesky (talkstalk!) 10:36, 10 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
To clarify what Pesky said above, reliable doesn't really mean "the information is correct" on Wikipedia. It means that other people with no connection to the source can reasonably believe that information is correct--either because it's factual information from the subject (as in the case of the government site), or because it's written by a source that is generally known to check their facts (e.g. national newspapers, academic journals). As such, the government site is fine (thanks for that), but we shouldn't be adding train time tables operated by independent third-parties. I have removed the second link. Consider asking at WP:ELN if you disagree with my interpretation of policy. wctaiwan (talk) 10:50, 10 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Comment! edit

I have managed to gather lot of information from the open source and ensured to update the article from time to time but still there are some sections that are needed to be updated. Thus, I request editors interested in Railways to join part of this and help in contributing to the article. Thank you. 456legendtalk 09:35, 6 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Update needed! April 2024 edit

As of today, I managed to present the article to my best of knowledge with the available information in the open source. There is still lot of ambiguity regarding the total number of stations and length of the system. Multiple sources cite different information and the lack on the information of the opening dates of the service, lines and stream is further making it more difficult. I would like to request editors to put in their insights and help in gathering more information to update this article to the best in real time. Thank you. 456legendtalk 17:09, 9 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
