cvt versus convert edit
@NiD.29: Hello,
cvt can not do what convert can do. Example: {{cvt|80|hp|kW|lk=in}} {{cvt|12|L|cuin}} → {{convert|80|hp|kW|lk=in}} '''''Keep the TEXT''''' {{convert|12|L|cuin|abbr=off}} '''''Keep the TEXT'''''. 80 hp (60 kW) 12 L (730 cu in) → 80 horsepower (60 kW) Keep the TEXT. 12 litres (730 cubic inches) Keep the TEXT. It is a matter of style.

- What is with "Keep the TEXT"? Sorry, missed one instance where you weren't using abbr=on. If abbr=off, then cvt is a better choice, but is rarely needed anyway as most of the numbers should be in the data templates and not the text. - NiD.29 (talk) 03:31, 20 October 2019 (UTC)
- @NiD.29: I was refering to keeping the text or style of an earlier edition of the page as it was before I applied convert. Incedenally, the result of either cvt or convert is more accurate. There is also {{convert|12|L|cuin|spell=on}} twelve litres (seven hundred and thirty cubic inches) {{cvt|12|L|cuin|spell=on}} twelve litres (seven hundred and thirty cubic inches) which works as well.
