Quick feedback edit

@Yolo4A4Lo and ErnestKrause: I just created a page for the Fantasy on Ice show, which is currently touring in Japan. It's my first page about an ice show, so it would be great to have a quick feedback if the genenal structure, layout and content are fine. Beyond that:

  • Someone suggested to add a navigation box at the bottom that contains links to the main cast members and invited guest artists to increase the access to this article. I created a draft for that box on my PC, but I wanted to ask you first if it's needed and if yes, how to tackle the linking on and to related pages best.
  • Another suggestion is to add a short section about broadcasting and viewership, but I will only take the effort to look for sources if the section is relevant enough.

Thank you very much in advance Henni147 (talk) 08:51, 1 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

That's quite an effort to pull this article together. From my reading, I could not tell if you had consulted the articles for Ice capades or Stars on Ice, each of which might have ideas for what to include or not to include in articles of this type. My own review comment would express some interest in seeing some numbers about the profitability (or lack of profitability) for events of this type. When I look at articles on Wikipedia for films, for example, then there is usually a significant discussion of whether the Hollywood film was profitable or not profitable, did it make a lot of money or was it just barely profitable? Did it has losses? This type of information I think would be of interest to readers of your article. ErnestKrause (talk) 16:11, 3 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
@ErnestKrause: Thank you very much for your feedback. I consulted some fellow figure skating followers in Japan, and they told me that budget and profitability of ice shows are usually confidential information that only the production team itself can provide. I added in the history section that the show had run a deficit at the tour stop in Sapporo 2016, but that's the only info regarding profit I could find in reliable sources so far.
However, I can add sections about Live viewing and ticket sales, such as Television broadcasting and media coverage. I found the official website of the public viewing events for this year's tour, including a full list of all participating cinemas across Japan. I also found websites with detailed infos about the ticket lottery procedure for all four tour stops. The fact that live viewing and a lottery are required to meet the high ticket demand, is a strong indication that the show is profitable. Henni147 (talk) 11:28, 7 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
@ErnestKrause: Update: I created a section about the attendance and accessibility of the show. It is indeed difficult to find numbers about profitability or TV market share, as these are confidential infos and the shows are mostly broadcast on subscription channels. But I added the range of ticket prices and infos about sales at the latest 2022 tour to give a rough idea of the latest success of the show. Henni147 (talk) 16:49, 14 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Who sang with Papadakis/Cizeron? edit

I just saw this lovely video of Papadakis/Cizeron skating at this event. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ES26jGC3AcE The video identifies the skaters, but not the singer. How would I find out who is singing? She's excellent. Skysong263 (talk) 03:45, 5 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Skysong263: The singer is Miho Fukuhara. In the video, her name is written in Japanese (福原みほ) in the top right corner. She joined the 2023 Fantasy on Ice A tour in Makuhari and Miyagi. Henni147 (talk) 11:29, 5 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
