Some quick pointers

We once had a discussion about Snow Patrol, and it may have been in another context, but Suede67- you said to me, "An SP fan would understand the wording" (or what was being said.. something like that.) I've thought of that many times recently, since an encyclopedia is for educational purposes, and so I began last week to insert one word or two in your sentences, so you would have an idea of how some of your statements, that, while making sense to an avid fan, would work, tell me next to nothing with jargon don't recognize, or places where there may be weasel words or lack of clarification. I only just got started. Take a look. As a new person to SP concerts or concerts in general, I still would have no idea as to what a "One off" would mean. My Computer technician won't be back for the next few days, I can try to get to this library computer, which is only available 30 minutes at a time, but by next week, I should be hopefully working hard again on this stuff. For now, though, look for some of the one- word guiding question words to see if they help. They are just the start for this article for now.--Leahtwosaints (talk) 17:11, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

I disagree that "one off" is clear enough. When I hear that phrase, I think of sex. :) Crazy, but true, like a "one night stand". You see? A one night stand could be revolutionaries who attempt a coup against a government, or something entirely different from the American slang for picking up someone for the purpose of having sex overnight and after parting ways in the morning, never following up with each other again. As I said, young people are going to read your work here, especially if an article goes to FA-status. Some will not have English as their first language. It is critical that we be clear making sure that they will know exactly what we are saying. I am NO stranger to concerts, and have seen the very best! I mean, Eric Clapton in 1974, all the greats in the Rolling Stone Magazine's top 20 guitarists in their list of the Greatest 100 guitarists of all time (except for Robert Johnson), and many more in that list. It's how I got the photos of Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton, Mick Taylor, Bob Dylan, and a few others who all performed that year-- that are here in the Wikipedia. I was in Barcelona, Spain. Those were just the first of decades of concerts, and why I know some of the musicians we've discussed. I think that a "One off" sounds very British and is possibly why I've never heard it until now.
