Is Enfield (1893) F.C. really a "completely new club", as this article claims? I mean, in 1986 Middlesbrough went into administration and were officially/legally re-formed as Middlesbrough (1986) F.C., but nobody treats the post-1986 version as a separate club. If, however, it's felt that Enfield (1893) really is a completely separate club, then it should have its own, separate, WP article. Currently this article can't seem to decide which way to play it - the infobox makes it look like the club's defunct, but the current ESL template is on there and the article isn't in the "defunct clubs" category..... Neither of the external links seems to think that it is a new club, even though it is officially and legally. The Football Club History Database has just continued the page for Enfield, even though it normally starts a new page when a club changes its name, and EFC Fans also just continues, mentioning a 'restart' and a change of name. Perhaps the article should stay neutral by mentioning both points of view. Coyets 19:22, 16 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
Enfield (1893) F.C. is indeed a new club under FA rules. New entity = new club. 1893 is not a full or associate member of the FA because that membership was attached to the now defunct club and the Official Receiver refused to allow the football club to be demerged from the bankrupt group company. Notable Enfield F.C. players edit

Someone has added a template in the Notable Enfield F.C. players stating that there are no obvious criteria for inclusion. Would the following two criteria be sensible? Either at least one appearance in League football or at least 20 amateur or semi-professional international caps. Coyets (talk) 15:48, 23 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

There were some notable former players of the now defunct Enfield FC but the new club has only been going since 2007 and at Step 5 which hasn't given them time for players to progress into the Football League/Premiership/whatever.Jancyclops (talk) 21:27, 28 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

London wiki edit

There is a 'wanted page' request for Enfield FC on London Wiki - www.london.wikia.com : anyone care to oblige in creating it? Jackiespeel (talk) 23:01, 14 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
