Plot

This part of the summary doesn't seem right to me:

"However, director Ozu and his star Hara make it clear, primarily through facial expressions and glances, that Noriko does not love Manabe. There is a suggestion that she is, instead, in love with her boss. In one scene, as she is leaving his office, Satake says to her, did you ever wonder what would have happened if we had married? The expression on Noriko's face suggests that she has thought of nothing else. This match, though, is clearly not possible as Satake is married with children."

Firstly, where is the scene in which Noriko's expressions suggest that she doesn't love Manabe? Second, I could see no indication that she was in love with her boss. She liked him, sure, but not love. Incorrect Movie Title

This movie has been confused with the 1949 movie, "Early Summer." As you can plainly see from the poster, the correct tile is "Autumn." The kanji characters used in the article are incorrect too. Yes but that is correct. That is the way the title is translated or adapted in English. To my knowledge, there's no 1949 Ozu film with Summer in the title. -MY, OH MY! (mushy yank) 01:04, 7 July 2023 (UTC)
