Changed image.

I changed the image from Image:Drill primate.png to Image:Drill Lincolnparkzoo.jpg, in order to have a photo illustrating the article instead of a drawing. I don't see anything in any guidelines saying that a photo is preferred to an image, but I thought I'd read it at some point. Debate is welcome on this point; I don't want to chuck anyone's favorite image. grendel|khan 14:05, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

You did right. A good photo is generally preferred over a good drawing, but a good drawing is preferred over a bad photo. - UtherSRG (talk) 14:13, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

Yeah; that's what I was thinking--the drawing was a pretty good one, and the photo, frankly, will never be a featured picture (it's a little blurry when you look at it full-size, because the light was so low there). But I do think it's adequate to illustrate the subject. (I wonder which subspecies it was. The sign at the zoo just said "Drill - Mandrillus leucophaeus".) grendel|khan 14:56, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

Relatedness

I'm reverting you [what language is that? People who can't write good English should not be writing encyclopaedias]. We don't use blogs as sources [Pompous twit; who is 'we'?]. When he formally publishes a new taxonomy *and* it gets accepted above other taxonomies, that will be a different story. It may or may not be copyvio, but it's poor form...

I've flagged up a section of text that to me reads as though it's been copied in from some "Wonderful World of Primates" kids' book. Even if it were written in adult encyclopaedic style, the text lacks any references. Clean it up, or delete? --Kay Dekker (talk) 23:57, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

Dimorphism

Proboscis Monkey mentions that it's "large sexual dimorphic difference is greater than in any other primate" while only describing a 2x difference. This article describes a 3x difference. One must be wrong! --Angelo (talk · contribs) 06:00, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

Name

A "recent did you know" mentioned that a National park had a large population of drills. My mind filled with images of tools to bore wood, I followed the link to find out what drills really were and ended here. I am sure I am not the only person who is curious as to why they are called drills. Can't find anything; apparently "mandrill" is based on this (Engl. "man" + drill), but "drill" itself is only speculated to be "perhaps from a native name".-- Elmidae (talk) 05:54, 15 September 2015 (UTC)

Weight

The reference for the weight data (arkive.org) claims a different weight (20 kg vs 50 kg for males) and the reference on arkive.org (http://pin.primate.wisc.edu/factsheets/entry/drill) is claiming 32.3 kg.
