Old question edit

"A horse that is thinking or pursuing malevolent thoughts or actions"? What? Macarion 23:52, 28 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Dark Horse (disambiguation)Dark Horse — base name currently redirects to (disambiguation) page, should be the other way around JHunterJ 21:22, 4 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Survey - in support of the move edit

  1. Support No need for the redirect. 205.157.110.11 08:20, 5 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
  2. Support per nom. If an enquirer searches for "Dark horse" they probably want dark horse. If an enquirer searches for "Dark Horse", they probably want a film or an album or whatever. The principle of least surprise says they should get a dab page called "Dark Horse", rather than "Dark horse". CarolGray 10:21, 10 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Survey - in opposition to the move edit

  1. Oppose. I think this should be moved to Dark horse (disambiguation) instead. The dab page is set up as though dark horse is the main article, and there is no separate disambiguation page for the lowercase term. Dekimasuよ! 09:34, 5 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
  2. Oppose, Dark Horse should redirect to Dark horse. PC78 00:11, 7 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

The other option (as I see it) would be to move this to Dark horse (disambiguation), but since it concerns itself primarily with disambiguating titles, I think Dark Horse is the proper place. -- JHunterJ 21:24, 4 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

This is a tricky one to call. There are effectively three options:

  1. Dark Horse (disambiguation) redirects (moved) to Dark Horse; dark horse stays unchanged
  2. Dark Horse (disambiguation) stays unchanged; Dark Horse redirects to dark horse
  3. Dark Horse (disambiguation) redirects (moved) to dark horse (disambiguation) while dark horse stays unchanged

205.157.110.1 and CarolGray favour 1; PC78 favours 2; Dekimasu favours 3

Trying to ascertain which of these options would cause the least surprise is not easy, but I think CarolGray's argument is the most convincing. Dark Horse (disambiguation) has been moved to Dark Horse as the result of a move request. --Stemonitis 12:44, 10 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • UGH! Pages should not disambiguate or send users to different pages based on case sensitivity! Please undo this. SchmuckyTheCat 00:01, 13 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
  • Is this a guideline or policy? Does it just hold for varieties of Title Caps? I know that there are pages like Karen and KAREN or Muse, MusE, and MuSE that have different articles based on case. -- JHunterJ 11:10, 13 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
