Height - cleary under 30 meters edit

There is no exact information about the height of the statue. On tourist brochures it said, that the Christ is "more than 20 meters high" ( "más de 20 metros de altura" in Spanish), which is not very revealing. However, the height can be estimated quite well, if we look at pictures and movies, and it is cleary under 30 meters! See this: VICTORIO MACHO Y CRISTO DEL OTERO

At 2:25 we see that the head is between 3 and 4 meters high (from the beard to the crest). However, 4 meters is probably an undue estimate. The head makes a seventh of the height of the statue. This brings us to 21-28 meters.
At 3:25 we have a front view of the statue with two people, a man standing near the statue. If we assume, he is 1.70 m, we arrive at a value of 21–25 meters, depending on which values we assume.
At 3:28 the height is indicated with 21 meters. Where does this figure come from is not clear, but it seems rasonable.

Conclusion: El Cristo del Otero is not 30 meters high, rather 21. --Theophilus77 (talk) 22:17, 13 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
