Almond essence is not made from almonds. The flavors of this liqueur and almond essence are the same. --Una Smith (talk) 15:11, 16 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thats right, several substances have an almond flavor that are not almonds; it is a peculiarity of the nut. Cyanide, for example, has a pleasant flavor of bitter almonds - try some today! 12.201.7.2 (talk) 07:34, 9 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
