Pinchot and Morris on Fox News

Bronson Pinchot just appeared on Fox & Friends (02/11/2012 9:01 AM EST) promoting his upcoming show, The Bronson Pinchot Project. Fox & Friends' Clayton Morris kept calling him "Brosnan" (as in Pierce Brosnan). Pinchot interrupted Morris and then went off on Morris at the very beginning of the interview (!), asserting that non-professionals such as waiters often call him Brosnan, but not professionals. Pinchot then told Morris to just sit there with his good hair and be quiet. Morris then interviewed Bronson, seemingly unaffected by Bronson's comments. Later in the short interview, after Pinchot refused to do his Balki character, Morris did the Balki character and Pinchot told him that it was terrible (it wasn't) and how it was like a stagehand stepping forward to do the impression until they could get a professional to do the impression. The article could be improved by bringing out this side of Morris' interview style, if reliable sources can be found. -- Uzma Gamal (talk) 14:29, 11 February 2012 (UTC)

Suggestions for expanding the article

Hi, I am Lindsey and I work for Clayton Morris. I am interested in improving and expanding the article to bring it in line with WP:NPOV and WP:BLP. This includes adding sections and relevant subsections, and new content supported with reliable sources. The following are my suggestions:

1. For the intro I propose that it read: Clayton Morris is an American broadcaster, real estate investor, and author. He is the founder of Morris Invest, a real estate investment company, and host of the YouTube channel Redacted. He is a former co-host of The Daily Buzz and Good Day Philadelphia on Fox's WTXF-TV. He moved to co-host Fox & Friends on Fox News Channel in 2008. He covered consumer technology for Fox and hosted weekly technology segments for Fox News Radio and Fox News. On September 4, 2017, he left Fox News.
2. Add an Early life and education section which includes: Morris was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and attended Wilson High School in Spring Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania (today West Lawn, Pennsylvania). He graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1999.
3. Add a Career section that would include three subsections: Journalism and media as one, Television, film and radio as the second, and Investments as the third. I am proposing wording for each:

Journalism and media: Morris hosts the Investing in Real Estate podcast and Morris Invest YouTube channel. Morris and his wife Natali Morris co-authored "How to Pay Off Your Mortgage in 5 Years." They also co-host the daily YouTube show called Redacted.

Television, film, and radio: In 2000, Morris appeared in a low-budget thriller film entitled Deception. His television career began when he was a producer for Good Day LA at KTTV. Morris co-hosted Fox & Friends from 2008-2017. Before working for Fox network, he was a host on The Daily Buzz and Good Day Philadelphia. He was a frequent guest-panelist on the Fox News late-night satire show, Red Eye w/ Greg Gutfeld. Morris also worked as an anchor at WVVA-TV (NBC) in Bluefield, West Virginia, and as a political reporter at Montana's CBS affiliate. In 2012, Morris won the seventh annual "New York's Funniest Reporter" contest, which benefits the Humane Society of New York.

Investments: Clayton Morris runs Morris Invest. Morris developed the online Financial Freedom Academy which educates others on earning passive income and methods of achieving financial freedom.

In addition to the new content for the Investments subsection, the content from the current Lawsuits section should be included here, ensuring neutrality within the article. Additionally, I am working on revisions to that content to be addressed in a future edit request.

Improving language in the Career section

Hi, in a continued effort to improve the article, I have formulated some changes and additions to some of the content. The following are my suggestions for rewording part of the language in the Career section (beginning from the second paragraph under Financial journalism and real estate ventures) to ensure the article reads clearly while accurately reflecting the sources, and that the content meets NPOV and BLP guidelines. I have also added some updated information and sources:

In March 2019, investors filed more than two dozen lawsuits in Indiana and New Jersey, claiming Morris and his former partner Bert Whalen of Oceanpointe were running a Ponzi scheme, including selling properties in Indianapolis for passive rental income, later to discover they were vacant lots or uninhabitable. Morris denied responsibility, asserting he referred investors to Whalen and that Whalen was responsible for managing the properties. No criminal charges were brought against Morris (using existing source number 25). In November 2019, Whalen was indicted by a federal grand jury for defrauding investors. Morris was not named in the indictment and not charged (using existing source number 19). In March 2022, Whalen pleaded guilty.

In October 2019, Morris filed a $7.2 million copyright infringement lawsuit against HoltonWiseTV in Federal Court. HoltonWiseTV produced a three-hour documentary investigating Morris’s alleged involvement in various real estate deals. Morris lost the suit in March 2020.

In May 2020, the state of Indiana filed a civil complaint against Clayton Morris, among others, for violating Indiana's deceptive sales and home loan acts in real estate deals involving more than 150 properties in Marion County.

Political leanings

If Morris's YouTube channel features content that is predominantly politically conservative in orientation, shouldn't that be mentioned in this article? 173.88.246.138 (talk) 20:19, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
