STUFF RELATED TO MARK ROTHKO edit

The reference to "[a]ccording to some art scholars" appears overstated. Only one art scholar is mentioned. Although he is a noted expert in Mark Rothko, he is not known for work related to Edward Hopper. I don't have access to that source, but I suspect that its context is attached to Rothko's work, not Hopper's.

Also, the reference to a 1931 work by Rothko is unsourced. It it may be the same David Anfam source as the quote in the first paragraph, but it does not link to a Rothko image. Rothko did some street scenes early in his career, but Chop Suey does not seem to resemble any of Rothko's better known work. Futhermore, I could not find the referenced image "Composition 1" linked anywhere else. This issue overlooks the fact that the relevance of this "aside" to an Article about a Hopper painting is unstated and, in the end, there is more in this Article related to Rothko than to Hopper.

None of the rest of the second paragraph has references either. -- Komowkwa (talk) 03:46, 10 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

I totally agree.... what does Rothko's painting have to do with this painting? --Possum4all (talk) 20:29, 20 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
Agreed. Nothing like Rothko's "Composition 1". Possible subtle vandalism. This has been an issue for at least a year. Finally made the delete. Need proper reference if restored. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.175.222.178 (talk) 20:49, 10 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
...However, "Sunny Side of Life" bumper does exist. Added external link. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.175.222.178 (talk) 20:56, 10 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Ownership needs updating edit

The estate sold the painting in 2018, but I can't access Wikidata. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 36.11.225.165 (talk) 02:08, 2 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
