Edible?

Is cashew nut oil edible? Badagnani (talk) 02:44, 20 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'm not sure; I added Template:Fatsandoils because it was listed on it, but this article doesn't say if cashew oil is edible or not (and actually says that its shell's oil is poisonous), so I reverted myself. Acalamari 23:02, 5 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Merge: Cashew oil and Cashew nutshell liquid

edit

One is a stub and the other is very short. Hyacinth (talk) 23:53, 15 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

They don't refer to the same thing though. Cashew oil is an edible oil made from the nut and cashew nutshell liquid is a technical product obtained from the shell of the nut. The cashew oil article is a stub and the paragraph on shell oil there is misleading. It should be deleted moved to the CNSL article, which should be referenced in the cashew oil article(as in "not to be confused with..."). The cashew oil article then needs to be expanded or deleted. I think I'll do this merge, all straight to Cashew. These articles are chasing each other around, adding a blurb to summarize a blurb. Wnt (talk) 17:43, 28 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
