Untitled edit

There are other carhenges (for example at the end of The Secret Life of Machines, series 2, episode one "The Car" ); this article should be made generic rather than specific. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.17.171.199 (talk) 22:52, 17 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Pagan ritual edit

I'm removing this section because it sounds completely asinine, has no citation, and is generally stupid. I can't think of any symbolic reason why any people or affiliation would do that, and furthermore the impracticality of it just makes it unfeasable. Until someone can come up with a VERY good reason why it should be kept, I'm deleting it.

why was it built?

Good question. Why was Stonehenge built, then? --haha169 (talk) 21:40, 28 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

I think that before the Internet, parts of the Midwest could be very, very boring.....however that may be, the builder of this obviously had WAY too much time on his hands. Maybe a little more about the back ground to this in the article, local reaction, etc.?

I cannot believe in my eyes that someone thought that the fact the Stonehenge is made out of ehm.. stones needs to have a citation. And why noy put an inside link to the Stonehenge article, which clearly states that stonehenge is made out of stones? Nooo, we need a citation...

I am losing faith in humanity. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.202.33.244 (talk) 04:39, 26 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

It would, of course, have been nice to be notified on either my Wikipedia talkpage or my Wikimedia talkpage, but that would probably have been asking too much. Still, a useful lesson in how effort is valued at Wikipedia has been learned. --PLUMBAGO 07:23, 26 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Difference between Stonehenge and Carhenge edit

Stonehenge and Carhenge are located nearly 10 degrees apart in latitude. The difference affects where the sun will rise and set on various days of the year, most notably the longest and shortest day. Was this considered when placing the cars? SlowJog (talk) 10:20, 10 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
