It has been suggested by Russian doctors that virtually no CV19 testing is being conducted across Russia, while at the same time the number of pulmonary deaths has exploded. I cannot check or comment on neither numbers. We need to correct the map of cases in Russia, which currently includes the Crimean Peninsula. The Peninsula is internationally recognised (including by the UN, Parliamentary Assembly of Europe, and the EU) as Ukrainian territory. Disruptive edits and figures

There are continuous edits by IPs and new accounts that are trying to alter the figures, especially the number of deaths. It's already been established and clearly noted that the 1 death is not included in official statistics, and the consensus is to use official statistics (included in стопкоронавирус.рф). This is being ignored by these IPs/accounts and some of them continually try to make the same edits despite them being reverted. Therefore the article may need some level of protection to stop these disruptive edits if it persists. Please be aware that government figures must be used. Mellk (talk) 17:04, 25 March 2020 (UTC)

Numbers are inсonsistent

True. The total number is the official one by the Russian taskforce, and daily numbers are by the Russian watchdog. They don't add up since one case seems to be recorded either by Moscow or Moscow Oblast by different sources. Still, can't ignore the official total number because it's the most up-to-date. 31 March increase

So, news agencies and government sites say that the number of cases was 1,836 on 30 March (e.g. and ), while this reached 2,337 on 31 March (e.g. and ), which, mathematically, is an increase of 501 cases. However, these sites all say/said 500 instead. This has led to some statistics saying 500 and some saying 501. I'm guessing it makes sense to just say 501? Mellk (talk) 16:03, 1 April 2020 (UTC)

I have just removed the biggest template, which was the timeline and only left a link to it, similar to how it is in the US article. Fixed the templates not showing issue. I don't think a separate article for statistics is needed therefore, it would be only for this template. Regarding the timeline section, I think it should be split and the main article should only state main stages of development. Actually, that's not going to help here. There are over 90 orphaned references in the Timeline section, and if I copy all of those back in from the template, we'll just go over the size limit again, especially as more references are added for future months. So we still need to split the timeline off. I'm going to WP:BOLDly do that now to fix this article, though there's not been much time for discussion on this. filled charts

These new filled charts are fugly! Please revert to the old style.

Anything more constructive then? The point of these "area" charts is to bring it closer to the original style which was columns but without labels and with the date format on x. Unlike line charts which represent a piece of data in a particular day, area is supposed to show new cases/recoveries/deaths. Therefore, a different visual format is needed, also showing that combined area means the total number like in maths where not only a dot and it locations show information but also area as well, while a slice of it shows new cases. You are referring to column and stacked column charts. Filled scatter charts are usually in the domain of the undereducated, and commerce people. Academic charts are generally never filled. Clarity is the goal.

I hope anyone will create article titled COVID-19 pandemic in Moscow, The proposed article will be titled as title COVID-19 pandemic in Moscow will be focused on the pandemic within the Russian capital city of Moscow. The propose article will include how many active cases, how many deaths, how many recoveries and how many overall cases within the city of Moscow. Treatment and victims section

In my opinion, it seems unnecessary to have a lot of the information that's there in the treatment section in this article. It also seems unnecessary to have a list of all the victims in the article; I think the high-profile ones should just be added to List of deaths due to COVID-19 while some of the others could instead be mentioned in a separate new article about specific impacts, for example "Social impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in Russia", "Political impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in Russia" and so on. This whole page is seriously neglected and obsolete, where the Russian language page is current. Maybe some interested person could alleviate the discrepancy?

Death toll of 116,030

Recently, a new number of people who died in Russia since the start of the pandemic was released, 116,030. This includes all the people with Covid-19. [1] [2]. Article size

Since the article size has become too large, I've split the impact sections to their own articles and have proposed merging the list of deaths section. But there is still hardly any room, and a summary of each impact section will need to be added as well as updates to the timeline and government responses section, so the next step soon will be to split the statistics section. Not sure where to put this information

It was reported in September 2021 that "More than 5.5 thousand clerics and monks of the Russian Orthodox Church in Russia have been ill with coronavirus" and that "as of September 1, 182 deaths from the effects of coronavirus were registered in Russia among the clergy of Moscow and dioceses, clergy and residents of the stavropegia".
