Edwards was born in 1913/4 in Arkansas, very likely in Marianna, AR, like his parents and siblings were. It's easily established that Edwards had a younger brother, Ollie, that followed him to Kentucky State [1]. Beyond that, it's OR territory. The 1930 census has a George Edwards, 16, and Ollie Edwards, 12, sons of Frank and Clementine Edwards, all born in Arkansas, living a mile from where Edwards played high school football [2]. Other census and marriage records back up this birth year, they can be found attached to this profile [3]. Unfortunately I can't find a trace of him after he left coaching.
