Evidence Hook was perpetrator edit
This article and that on Hook are missing all details as to evidence he was the perpetrator which seems a great oversight given the sources quoted indicate he never confessed and that all inquiries into the perpetrator's identity proved unprovable. Waerloeg (talk) 14:09, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
The Victorian City by Judith Flanders edit
I'm reading this book at the moment and she devotes a short chapter to this hoax. She gives the date as November 1810, as do several of the references cited here.
