Theatrical release edit

There seem to be enough CGI effects and ALOT more work put into it than the show itself, I think it's likely or at least signifigantly probable to be in theatres. Also, it doesn't seem to follow show cannon exactly. The Plumbers were disbanded weren't they? And Ghostfreak is back, natural form might be a bit scary to younger veiwers when CGI'd.70.104.16.118 18:38, 12 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

The teaser doesn't mention ghostfreak, you should check before you post. Ghostfreak may be back but it doesn't say anything about him.

Speculation edit

the "techno aliens" could more likely be the forever knights, and the other alien/villain could be Dr Animo. TMek The covenant COM link 42 16:32, 13 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

"Helmeted Alien"... edit

...looks like a CGI XLR8 to me. I mean, liberties have been taken of course, but it looks like him.KrytenKoro 19:54, 14 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

you've read my mind dude. that was exactly what i was thinking when is saw that page. it looks like someone tried to stuff lord voldemort inside XLR8's suit. Itachi1452 12:56, 20 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Lol. I was thinking Sixsix. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.102.147.55 (talk) 01:21, 5 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

He doesn't really look like XLR8 to me. Or anyone else we've seen on the show. He looks kind of old and wrinkly. And not blue enough. In fact, he looks too human. Then again, I could be wrong. It would probably be a good idea not to mention him in the article until we have more info, though. (Besides, he looks more like Von Bolt from Advance Wars: Dual Strike to me.) The world's hungriest paperweight 02:35, 5 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I don't think it is XRL8. I've seen the trailer a bunch of times and I never thought that the helmet guy was XLR8. It wasn't until I read the thing on here that it was. But now that is edited. We'll have to wait and see. I think it is a stupid looking XLR8 anyway, if it is him. Jason Garrick 23:00, 8 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

You're right, it isn't. It is Christien Anholt as Eon, the movie's main villain. Mack-the-random 20:34, 10 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Canon or Non-canon? edit

Is this movie going to be canon or non-canon? It takes place after Ben's vacation is over but it's live action. --Naruto134 00:00, 15 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Probably non canon similar to the relation between 2001 and 2010 (Space odessey books)70.104.16.118 18:44, 17 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Well, you never know. I believe the Power Rangers franchise is applicable here. They have one non-canon movie (the first one), and another canon movie (the second one repectively). That could apply here (albeit a more than likely reversed scenario), though we won't know until November. 209.214.56.130 01:48, 19 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
I can prove that it's non-canon through one simple reason; the ten-minute "failsafe". According to this movie, the Omnitrix times out so that the "alien DNA doesn't overwhelm the user". Well then, I guess that means that the Master Control from "Back With A Vengeance" was all in our heads. Given that nobody from Man of Action was working on this movie, I suspect that whoever came up with that little faulty tidbit had only bothered to watch certain episodes, and noticed that Ghostfreak was a villain. Then he (or she) must have thought 'Wow, so all the aliens have personalities', and bada-boom bada-bing, we've got the failsafe. Besides, if Eon was captured 200 years ago, how did he know about the Omnitrix (which seems to be a relatively new device)? Since the information in this movie seems to contradict information from the show (which is canonical), the movie is non-canonical. MegaWhatt (talk) 02:45, 8 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
It is canon. Several things in the enhanced marathon stated RAT's canonocity. The Martyr (converse with the Martyr) 21:03, 16 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

if you look on IMDB a character called "Eon" is in the cast list. maybe thats the helmeted alien? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Wayside 10 (talkcontribs) 07:44, August 23, 2007 (UTC).

wildmutts name edit

How come someone doesnt write wildmutts voice and name in the cast list? i would but i'm only new. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Wayside 10 (talkcontribs) 07:48, August 23, 2007 (UTC).

newest trailer??? edit

in the article it says theres a new trailer. where can this be found?? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Wayside 10 (talkcontribs) 08:06, August 23, 2007 (UTC).

XLR8 edit

theres no proof that the helmeted alien is XLR8!!! so stop falsely putting it into the article!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.197.10.100 (talk) 07:23, 7 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Adaptation edit

this seems to be an live action adaptation of the episode: "Goodbye and Good Riddance" from season 4, with minor and significant differences. Rau J16 17:47, 8 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

We'll see this before we see that, so it might be the other way around. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 18:19, 8 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
No, the episode airs in october with this movie in november. 71.206.136.69 16:45, 23 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

new tralier edit

I just saw a trailer during Out of Jimmy's head. It showed Grandpa and it revealed that the helmeted alien is named Eon and is original to the movie. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 1 wit da force (talkcontribs) 02:45, 15 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

can the trailer be veiwed on you tube? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wayside 10 (talkcontribs) 02:47, 16 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Actually, yes. I just found both of them. Here's the first one, and I think this is the second one. I can't be sure though, since I haven't seen it on TV. The world's hungriest paperweight 17:06, 16 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
Hungry Paperweight is right about the first trailer, but the second is either a fanmade trailer(though it does have new scenes) , or an office cirulatory with temporary graphics. I haven't seen it on T.V. I can't find the trailer on YouTube.1 wit da force 19:01, 16 September 2007 (UTC)1 wit da forceReply
Well, like I said, I haven't seen the second trailer on TV, so I wasn't sure if that was it or not. The world's hungriest paperweight 19:58, 16 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

grandpa's hat edit

why does grandpa have a hat on? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.197.10.100 (talk) 01:58, 22 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Here's a better question: What does your question have to do with the article? The world's hungriest paperweight 02:18, 22 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I guess the answer to the first question is that they probably thought the live action characters don't have to look exactly like the animated versions (grandpa Max also has a short beard and Gwen has longer hair) and probably thought the hat looks nice. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 196.207.32.37 (talk) 15:04, 25 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Idiotic Line edit

'The movie seems to be non-canonical to the cartoons, because the public is unaware that Ben has the Omnitrix.' No one in his town (Bellmont or something) knows he does, not in the cartoon and not in the movie. Removed this line because it isn't needed at all. Mack-the-random 21:17, 10 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Everyone in Bellmont knows he has the Omnitrix!! they found out in the episode "Good Bye A Good Riddance"

Actually, Captain Annonymous, if you watched "Good Bye A(nd) Good Riddance", it was in "comic book" format - like Gwen 10, which was non-canon. The "comic book" format is non-canon - the comic book narrator even says so, by saying that this is another way of telling the story. Zyborg (talk) 21:27, 21 November 2007 (UTC)ZyborgReply

Do you have a source on that? In any case the movie really fucks with the backstory of the Plumbers so definitely not canon. Plus Gwen goes to Ben's school and according to you the episode in which she transferred there never really happened.76.118.216.61 (talk) 03:28, 22 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
And on top of that it totally rapes the whole nature of the Omnitrix. And Eon's whole thing is never quite explained (Why, exactly, was he looking at Ben 'throughout time?') and it just plain sucks. 71.60.159.181 (talk) 20:27, 24 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
It has been stated in the movie itself when I saw it that the character, Eon, was looking for Ben so he could use his omnitrix to release his past self from within it and make it take control of Ben! He needed that so he could exist in the first place before he can continue with his mission. Mialover730 (talk) 00:44, 25 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

On Sunday's reairing of The Ultimate Weapon, it reveals that RAT is canon. The Martyr (converse with the Martyr) 20:51, 16 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Being overwelmed edit

Eon said Ben only stays in alien form for ten minutes to prevent Ben from beings overwelmed by the form which was true in this movie. However, Ben was Greymatter longer than usual in "Small Problem" and then he did not seem overwelmed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 196.207.32.37 (talk) 18:24, 25 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

You bring up a good point, and let's not forget the Ben 10,000 episodes and the episodes where Ben discovers the master control of the Omnitrix, which allows him to be an alien as long as he desires. 152.31.229.30 (talk) 18:00, 26 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

There must be other failsafes, also conneceted to the Omnitrix. However, the ten-minute thing may be the most important, useful, or ovious one, which was why it was mentioned by Eon. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.76.251.62 (talk) 10:49, 23 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

It was stated in the enhanced version of...erm...I believe it was Super Alien Hero Buddy Adventures that the Omnitrix has a 10 minute failsafe. In another, The Ultimate Weapon, it said Eon appeared shortly after [insert event here], meaning that Race Against Time is canon. errr.. edit

shudn't it be mentioned that the star cast was poor and absolutely sucked? --212.76.64.4 (talk) 14:26, 2 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Vilgax edit

I was sad to see that Vilgax wasn't the villain of the movie. Don't you think that If there will be a sequel, Vilgax should be the villain? I myself, think the movie is non-canon, or else they would have used the original voice actors for Ben's heroes, and they would have used Vilgax! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zig-Zac (talkcontribs) 15:16, 29 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Other alien voices edit

We already know that in Ben 10: Race Against Time, Heatblast, Grey Matter, Diamondhead, and Wildmutt were all voice by David Franklin, Carlos Alazraqui, Daran Norris, and Dee Bradley Baker, respectively. So if Four Arms, XLR8, Upgrade, Ripjaws, Stinkfly, Cannonbolt, Wildvine, Upchuck, and Ditto were in the movie, who would THEY be voiced by? I just wanted to know who might play Ben's other transformations. 98.18.25.121 (talk) 21:29, 10 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
