For some reason, people have made a box or table of a list of actions in the Solomon Islands campaign of WW II, but it does not include the important naval battle of the Battle of Empress Augusta Bay - even though it does mention places and actions at places of equal or higher latitudes, such as the invasion of Bougainville, and air raids onto Rabaul (which is on the Bismarck Archipelago). I would argue that Bougainville is a part of the Solomon Islands, and that the Battle of Empress Augusta Bay was off the coast of Bougainville. 98.67.107.112 (talk) 04:37, 5 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
