I disagree. The IBB, while a specialized case of the BB, is the subject of a good sized, nicely written article that covers that specifiic subject well. There is room enough for a more general article, like this one, and one on a more specific topic, like intentional base on balls. However, I have added the merge tag to this article so everyone knows about it. Gentgeen 23:36, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

Origin of term "ball"

I have been trying to find out the logical reason a pitch outside the strike zone not swung at is called a "ball" and when the term was first used.67.119.13.107 (talk) 21:39, 25 October 2012 (UTC)
