Talk:After the Development of Agriculture

horticulture before agriculture edit

I understood that, however early the beginnings of agriculture, horticulture preceded it. Also, this seems sensible, since land used for horticulture is generally smaller and the plantings tend to be singular, which means they're easier to manage. Our ancient ancestors would hardly have run a multi-crop farm without first running a single-crop garden. I think sources on this point would be in archaeology.
