MER-C RE: [1] For what it's worth, I have absolutely never edited anything for pay. I have no COI with the gallery, other than that I have visited it and think it's interesting. I probably would have eventually written the article myself if Opalwilt hadn't done it. I think the article fairly presents what sources say about it, and would have passed it if it had come up at AfC. Opalwilt if you are connected to the gallery, you may be required to disclose that. - Vexations, Edwardx, MER-C Hello, thank you for this discussion. I have not received payment for editing this page, and I would not edit anything for pay. I do not have a COI with the gallery, though I, too, have visited it and believe that it's interesting. I occasionally work in a professional capacity as an art critic, and have worked in art institutions in the past, and I thought it would be useful to produce and edit Wikipedia pages for organizations and artists that I am interested in researching. As this is my first article, I would be pleased to hear how it can be improved in terms of tone, structure, and content policy. I am happy to edit this page if it falls short of what is appropriate for Wikipedia. Again, thank you for your feedback as I am eager to learn in dialogue with the Wikipedia community. Information to be added or removed: 47 Canal is a contemporary art gallery in New York, NY, that was founded in 2011 by artist Margaret Lee and art dealer Oliver Newton. I would be grateful if an editor reviewed the page to make sure that it complies with Wikipedia's content policies.
Explanation of issue: My first Wikipedia entry, it was flagged for a potential UPE issue. It may require cleanup.

- Opalwilt, I think you should just make the change and provide a citation. Lee and Newton have given a few interviews where they explain how the gallery came about. Someone might complain that an interview is a primary source and not independent, so perhaps you want to see if you can find a (secondary) source that does not directly quote the owners.
