Fair use rationale for Image:Logo 20th television fox 1961-1964.jpg edit

Image:Logo 20th television fox 1961-1964.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Listing all of 20th's programs edit

Regarding the list of 20th's library, which WCVB98swell readded:

Trivialist (talk) 17:04, 4 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Exactly. Now we can find references to restore a portion, half, or all of it back. King Shadeed 15:19, October 5, 2014 (UTC)

Want all shows back on the 20th Television page now edit

Stop removing the shows distributed and IMDb sucks as it shows eps of TV shows — Preceding unsigned comment added by WCVB98swell (talkcontribs) 11:37, 6 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Merger edit

I suggest that 20th Television be merged into 20th Century Fox Television, as every division and subsidiary of 20th Century Fox Television is not individually or uniquely notable. Trivialist (talk) 21:58, 28 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

  • No, keep pages for distribution companies and do not merge into the page for the parent studio. 47.54.199.235 (talk) 15:56, 31 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
    • @47.54.199.235: Wait, after your history of trying to merge any related companies together, you *don't* want something to be merged? Trivialist (talk) 22:56, 31 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • Disagree: This is a distribution company for the Parent company. If it was not, then I would say yes. - Kiraroshi1976 (talk) 18:58, 31 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

There not merged just yet. Still working on page Jack370 (talk) 02:41, 12 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

20th TV's future edit

Now that The Walt Disney Company acquired Fox, I don't think 20th TV is going to survive as a standalone distributor. Disney is going to fold it into Disney-ABC Home Entertainment and Television Distribution perhaps. Now that Family Feud and other Debmar-Mercury shows have gone to CBS, 20th now only distributes two first run series (Divorce Court and Dish Nation). However according to the privacy policies of the programs websites, Lincolnwood Drive and Dino Bones Productions, the producers of the shows are owned by Fox Corporation. I'm guessing in the 2019-2020 season, Disney-ABC would distribute these programs (as they own 20th TV). Of course Disney-ABC takes over off net fare like Cops, Family Guy, The Simpsons, MASH and Bones. With the addition of 20th TV, Disney-ABC will now distribute six first run syndicated programs, Disney always has stuff like Who Wants To Be a Millionaire and Live With Kelly and Ryan. However the 20th shows also increases the Disney-ABC syndication slate. ExtraEditing (talk) 21:55, 15 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Fox Corporation edit

Why you don't add Fox Corporation in 20th Television? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 187.122.235.114 (talk) 23:26, 6 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

20th Century Fox Television20th Century Studios Television – Disney confirmed that "20th Century Studios" is now the official new name for 20th Century Fox. According to this NYT article, "A Disney spokesman confirmed that both labels, now officially known as 20th Century Studios and Searchlight Pictures... would drop Fox from their logos." Therefore the page needs to be moved to its correct name. AdamDeanHall (talk) 19:05, 19 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

It seems 20th Television will be folded into 20th Century Fox Television, which will be renamed to 20th Television.

20th Century Fox Television20th Television – Disney is shedding the Fox name for good according to this article: Low, Elaine (August 10, 2020). • Neutral I am totally cool with whether the merging of articles would happen. After all, this is not the first time 20th Century Fox Television was renamed 20th Television; that happened between 1989 and 1994. Don-Don (talk) 21:48, 10 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Support: This move seems rather boilerplate, as the article should reflect the company's new, (and current), name. There will be no need to split the article or anything else of that nature. DÅRTHBØTTØ (TC) 23:37, 10 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Support Merge and Move - Since this is the biggest of the two studios, the old 20th Television article should be merged into this, and then this renamed to "20th Television" — Starforce13 01:00, 11 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Logo Update edit

Am I the only one thinking that "20th Television" should get a new logo based off from the "20th Century Studios" logo? 'Cause I feel like the enchanced logo they used back in 2008 is starting to show its age in my opinion. --Rod14 (talk) 13:58, 14 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

In the Under Disney Television Studios paragraph should it read took the latter's name as 20th Television is listed second? 2607:FB91:3F09:58E6:89DF:F179:7F21:8AF2 (talk) 23:20, 21 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

20th Television doesn't distribute 20th Century Fox shows anymore. edit

I'm sorry, but it's true. The original 20th Television distributor has since closed down in 2020, and was folded into Disney-ABC Domestic Television. This is because 20th Century Fox is now owned by Disney. To be honest, they should replace 20th Television as a Distributor with Disney-ABC Domestic Television. FlapjackRulez (talk) 21:58, 12 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

The distributor named for a project is the one credited on a project at time of original release. That doesn't change with ownership changes. Also Disney has retained branding rights for all the names it bought and may choose to use old names on new projects at their discretion. Need to know what they actually did for a project and not just make assumptions. Geraldo Perez (talk) 22:10, 12 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
