– Follow-up to the discussion at Talk:Los Angeles Angels. I propose moving all articles containing "Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim" to the common short name "Los Angeles Angels" (which may also be the team's official name) under WP:COMMONNAME and related policies. (Only the season articles are listed, but this RM encompasses all such pages.) ONR (talk) 12:45, 7 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Support for all COMMONNAME seems pretty clear here just as it was for the main article. Official name or not, secondary sources have mostly been referring to the team as the "Los Angeles Angels" (LAA) or just "the Angels" since the name change first occurred. --JonRidinger (talk) 20:28, 9 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Comment just to clarify, it's because the common name "Los Angeles Angels" seems to have been used more frequently than the official "Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim" since the change in 2005, even before the team started using "Los Angeles Angels" themselves. The seasons before 2005 are all titled (and should remain) according to what the common/official name of the team was then, such as 2004 Anaheim Angels season and 1995 California Angels season. --JonRidinger (talk) 02:08, 13 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
