DuMont in daytime edit

According to the book The Forgotten Network, DuMont affiliates were offered 4 and a half hours of morning and afternoon programming starting 12 January 1949. However, figuring out which programs were offered to affiliates is difficult. I know that WABD's schedule (DuMont flagship station) during that period included the following according to this newspaper TV listing page for 14 of January[1]

7:00AM Sign On
7:05AM - News and C-W-T (per the book this meant "Clock-Weather-Temperature")
7:15AM - "Keep Fit with MacLevy"
7:30AM - C-W-T; and Madison and 53rd Street
7:45AM - "Your School Reporter"
8:00AM - "Camera Headlines"
8:10AM - C-W-T; and Madison and 53rd Street
8:30AM - "DuMont Kindergarten"
9:15AM - "Morning Chapel"
9:45AM - "Amanda"
10:00AM - "Your Television Shopper"
10:30AM - "Welcome Neighbor"
11:00AM - "Stan Shaw"(The Stan Shaw Show?)
12:00PM - "Camera Headlines"
12:15PM - "Man on the Street"
12:30PM - "Ted Steel" (The Ted Steel Show?)
1:00PM - "Okay, Mother"
1:30PM - News
1:40PM - "By Request"
2:45PM - "Spare Room"
3:00PM - "The Needle Shop"
3:15PM - "Vincent Lopez" (The Vincent Lopez Show?)
3:45PM - "Women's Club"
4:00PM - "And Everything Nice"
4:15PM - "Fassler"
4:30PM - "Inside Photoplay"
5:00PM - "Ted Steele"(The Ted Steele Show?)
5:15PM - "Manhattan Spotlight"
5:30PM - C-W-T; and Madison and 53rd Street
5:45PM - "Children's Records"

Again, figuring out which were local series and which were network series would be difficult. DuMont's innovation was not daytime TV itself, but the emphasis they put on it. WABD beginning its broadcasting day at 7:00AM was considered a big deal at the time (according the book). Suddenly There Is a Valley (talk) 06:14, 16 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
