Manon Kaji (Japanese: 鍛治 茉音, Hepburn: Kaji Manon, born 24 August 2004) is a Japanese snowboarder. She medaled silver at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics in the girls' halfpipe event and gold at the 2021 FIS Snowboarding Junior World Championships in the women's halfpipe event.

Early life and education edit

Kaji was born on 24 August 2004 in Uozu, Toyama Prefecture.[1] She attended Koho High School.[2] Both of her parents are snowboarders, and she began snowboarding when she was four years old.[1]

Nor-Am Cup edit

At the 2019–20 FIS Snowboard Nor-Am Cup, Kaji finished 3rd for Halfpipe #1 and 1st for Halfpipe #2.[3][4]

Winter Youth Olympics edit

Kaji represented Japan at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics in the girls' halfpipe event, where she ranked second throughout, medaling silver with a score of 85.33.[5][6][7]

Junior World Championships edit

Kaji participated in the 2021 FIS Snowboarding Junior World Championships where she medaled gold in the women's halfpipe event.[8]
