Christopher Reich is misplaced here. He was born in Tokyo in 1961, but he is not Japanese! His parents are American, and he lives in Los Angeles. He has lived and worked in Switzerland (in a Swiss bank), but after he became a full-time writer, he has lived in the U.S.
