My father, Clarence Johnson, from St. Paul, MN, played for the Bears for several years prior to WW II. He lived with my great Uncle Oscar Oien during the summer when he played for the Bears. Our family has absolutely NO memorabilia, an old program or anything, just word of mouth. He went on to teach and coach in the St Paul Schools and died of cancer at 69 in 1986.
