Thanks

Hello, thank you for creating an article about Brunei's royalty. Due to Prince Mateen's wedding making headlines worldwide, there is increased interest in Brunei's royal family, and I am one of those interested. I would like to urge you to create an article about Prince Abdul Wakeel, the youngest son of the Sultan of Brunei. He is gaining popularity and attention, especially after his brother. I can see that there are ample sources in the Brunei language, which should be sufficient to create an article on Wikipedia. 1.47.7.76 (talk) 12:38, 21 January 2024 (UTC)

It is indeed a pleasure for me to help update the article, although it wasn't I who made it. Thank you for chipping in your ideas; hopefully, by the upcoming weeks, I'll be more free to write an article on him. Pangalau (talk) 12:41, 21 January 2024 (UTC)

Sources

I have noticed that you very often override the edit filter warning you about unreliable sources. Here's a list: [1].

Please don't do that. It means other editors have to come along and remove the unreliable source, then work out whether the content has any source at all, or is incorrect - it's a lot of work. In Lim Teck Hoo, for example, you use four links to WordPress blogs. These fail our long-standing guidance on reliability. Siti Saerah includes a link to Royal Ark, which has been specifically discussed and listed as a source that should not be used.

Please familiarise yourself with the guidance, and above all, when the edit filter says you've used an unreliable source, please find another one, don't just override it. Guy (help! - typo?) 16:25, 10 February 2024 (UTC)

Hi! In context to using sources from bruneiresources.com, please do reconsider them as valid sources to an extent as they are written and owned by Dr. Rozan Yunos. As there are only state-owned news agencies in Brunei, old articles are often deleted and not archived. Rozan's work has been archived on his own personal blog/website which would be valid as it is copied and pasted from the original new article he has written.
In terms of other WordPress blogs, I do not use them unnecessarily but am usually left with no choice but to use them. As resources are hard to find regarding many subjects in Brunei, Royal Ark would not be used from now on. I hope my point gets across and is understandable. I could explain further if needed. Thanks for the feedback and concern. Pangalau (talk) 00:47, 11 February 2024 (UTC)
