Rationale for deletion of disambiguation page

edit

Per the WP:Disambig page, "If only a primary topic and one other topic require disambiguation, then disambiguation links are sufficient, and a disambiguation page is unnecessary." Since the radio station call letters are the primary identification and the acronym for a college athletic conference is a secondary identification, a hat note is sufficient and requires no more steps than would a disambiguation page for people seeking the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. It's not about which subject is more famous, just that the radio station is primarily identified by this name while the sports league is primarily identified by its full name with the acronym only a secondary reference to that league.- Dravecky (talk) 03:11, 16 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Renaming/Moving

edit

The redirects were a complete disaster. WCHA (AM) was previously redirected to the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. The WCHA (AM) page is where this info belongs as per Radio naming conventions. Freeing up WCHA for a disambiguation page or because the acronym simple redirect to Western Collegiate Hockey Association which is most commonly known as the "WCHA".
