Call for help: article may be deleted due to systemic bias in Wikipedia review system
editI have been experiencing difficulties with article creation which I believe are due to a systemic bias in Wikipedia's review system. As many of us in this project probably already know, working class people and their history are significantly underrepresented in academic research, which leads to difficulties creating articles about these topics on Wikipedia. Most recently, I have been encountering issues with an article I wrote about Jeff Johnson, the former president of the Washington State Labor Council and an important figure in recent labor history in this area. Despite the article being approved from AfC less than a month ago and my efforts to add more secondary sources to prove notability, the article is now being proposed for deletion. It would be very helpful if people here could help me improve the article and contribute to the discussion on the AfD page to prevent it from being deleted. Thank you for your support! Naming conventions proposal
editI propose that we create a naming convention for articles about strikes. The convention should be "Year Location Industry strike." For example, Boston cigar makers' strike of 1919 would become 1919 Boston cigar makers' strike. There is a wide variety of names for articles on strikes and I think having a convention would create uniformity and clarity. Thoughts?--User:Namiba 16:29, 29 May 2024 (UTC)

Under the "Summary of legislation by jurisdiction" section for Right to sit in the United States, I have largely filled in the chart. However, some states are incomplete and lack information for when the laws were made gender-neutral or repealed. It can be difficult to search law codes, particularly if looking for repealed laws.
