Template:FFIII (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)

There are only two articles, no need for a template. — Kariteh (talk) 19:58, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete not enough content to warrant a template, in its current state. --Oscarthecat (talk) 21:07, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge the whole series of FFI to FFMCLXVWXYZ-1 templates into main FF template. Otherwise, delete because the goal of the template can be accomplished with 2 links. --Thetrick (talk) 21:11, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • I assume your first suggestion was a joke since the numbered games actually go up to XIII. The main FF template (Template:Final Fantasy) is pretty crowded already so subtemplates are definitely warranted, though not in the case of FIII. Kariteh (talk) 21:23, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per Kariteh, no merge.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 03:41, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - entirely unnecessary as a template. Terraxos (talk) 01:25, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Appanoose County Courthouse (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)

Utterly pointless template that I've replaced. (Could G1 apply for things like this?) Thetrick (talk) 02:16, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete, article (or possibly just text fragment) created in template namespace. Stifle (talk) 13:05, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Some kind of user_talk message box. 1 use. Thetrick (talk) 02:01, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the debate was delete (have been userfied to User:The Bipolar Anon-IP Gnome/Anon sig) - Nabla (talk) 19:01, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Anon-sig (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)

Looks like a test page, but not quite sure. Probably duplicates better anon-greeting templates. Thetrick (talk) 01:52, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep Userfy (See below.) - Since this is a substantiated template, you cannot see how often it has been used since 2008-02-18 when I created it ... check the edit histories of my recent IP accounts and you'll see that it is used on Talk pages ... also, it's a courtesy to inform the author of a TfD instead of expecting them to have it on a Watchlist ... Happy Editing! — 151.200.237.53 (talk · contribs) 11:45, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, not useful template. Stifle (talk) 13:06, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • Comment If not for the TFD message being part of the substantiation now, I would have used it at least a dozen times in the past hour while adding {{Flag-article}} and {{Selected filmography}} messages!! (Something I discovered while leaving the comment above ... I had to edit it to remove the TFD message. <Sigh!>) — 151.200.237.53 (talk) 13:17, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I wrapped the template in <noinclude> tags, as advised at the top of the page. The TfD notice won't be substituted any more. Cenarium Talk 14:40, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thnx! Happy Editing! — 151.200.237.53 (talk · contribs) 16:45, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment I think Wikipedia:Signatures#Transclusion of templates is relevant here, though, if this template had been located in userspace I wouldn't have noticed it. --Thetrick (talk) 22:14, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Userfy or delete, I certainly wouldn't use this sig template as an anon, it includes a specific sign-off that I think is corny. 70.55.84.202 (talk) 05:43, 28 June 2008 (UTC) 70.55.84.202 (talkcontribs) has made few or no other edits outside this topic. .[reply]
  • Userfy, if the template's function can be preserved that way (keep if it can't). I'm not sure anyone besides the IP Gnome uses this template, but I know he -does- use it, and he's a long established editor. He should be able to keep it, but if it can go in userspace, it should be there --UsaSatsui (talk) 23:18, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • Query: Just how would one userfy this template? Happy Editing! — 151.200.237.53 (talk · contribs) 02:16, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • D'oh! Could it be as simple as copying it to User:The Bipolar Anon-IP Gnome/Anon sig? — 151.200.237.53 (talk) 02:42, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
      •   Done OK, {{subst:User:The Bipolar Anon-IP Gnome/Anon sig|151.200.237.53}} is tres ugly, but it does work ... is this what you meant by "moving it to userspace"? — 151.200.237.53 (talk) 02:51, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
        • Yep. I mean, you get a use out of it (since you use IPs, you can't have a custom sig), it's not in templatespace, everyone is happy. Right? Can this be closed as moot? --UsaSatsui (talk) 04:14, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy close - As per above discussion, I have userfied this template for my own personal use. :-) Happy Editing! — 151.200.237.53 (talk · contribs) 03:04, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
