I would suggest either a) not replacing it. It's not exactly necessary. Or if it is deemed necessary b) a photo of a more clinical nature, like the picture of feces, that at least shows some clinical data (the size of the stool is indicated). I'd compare semen2.jpg (an amateur porn money shot pic of someone's cum on the floor) in this case to a picture of feces on the sidewalk: it's vulgar and not encyclopedic. Cum in a clear specimen cup with ml markings would be a possible analogous image?   • Strong keep. "Pornography" - The explicit depiction of sexual subject matter, especially with the sole intention of sexually exciting the viewer (from Wiktionary). So it is indeed porn, and it is in my opinion likely to be amateur. In my further opinion, this is not reason enough to delete the image. Next, images can be themed in the real world, but in Wikipedia (this is my opinion, again), images do not have themes, they have content (in fact, now that I think about it, I think that's true for images everywhere). I assume by "objective" you mean "not influenced by the emotions or prejudices", since the other two relevant definitions are met. Well, the image could be said to be prejudiced, since it is of human semen, but unless you want to make a single image containing separate shots of various species' semen, including that of humans, I suggest you quit while you're ahead. Emotions don't influence the current image in any way. Please post an example of a medically-themed image of semen on my talk page, or failing that a medically-themed image of a substance representing semen. Too graphic? Nonsense. It answers the question: What is the appearance of semen? The answer is well within the purpose of an encyclopedia. Issues surrounding human sexuality produce irrational thinking and emotions. (A "medically themed" semen photograph would be what? Semen on a piece of gauze?   • Strong keep = This has been voted on time after time on the semen talk page. Consensus has been for keeping, and then some clueless person who has not seen it before comes in and asks for deletion yet again. For some reason people think that somehow a picture os semen is pornographic or obscene. It is a bodily fluid, nothing more.   • KEEP While the image and the filename seems somewhat gruesome or unadequated on good taste basis, I think there is no other reasons to delete this image according to Wikipedia policies. There are hundreds of other photographs in Wikipedia or Wikipedia Commons where the real source can be put in doubt, relying only on the good faith of the uploader. Technically, the tag and the claim on the source are apparently right, so the image should remain there, unless we have the very photographer stating his copyright over the picture.

Comment: User's only edits are concerning this IfD and to their own user page. "Hundreds of other photographs" is meaningless -- precedent doesn't apply to them unless they've survived an AfD themselves. I find it a bit ingenious that you would have first tagged this (and other images) as a replaceable tag and then three minutes later you remove the images all together and nominate them; see [2]. There is no need to pull the images out of the pages before the nomination. The image page does not track the deletion and what needs to be done is review the uploaders contributions and see where they have used the image. If the images are determined as keepable and acceptable fair use (including this album cover) they will have to be re-inserted. It is easier to delete the images later rather then have to find where they were originally and re-insert them.--Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr.) 02:37, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
