Original - Eustrombus gigas, commonly known as the "queen conch", is a species of edible sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family of true conchs, the Strombidae. It is one of the largest mollusks native to the Tropical Northwestern Atlantic, from Bermuda to Brazil, reaching up to 35.2 cm (13.9 in) in shell length. The queen conch is herbivorous and lives in seagrass beds.

  • Support technically excellent, superb EV (wikipedia's collection of gastropod shell photos is sure to make any other encyclopedia green with envy), and nice and consistent with the other similar pictures in the series. The only technical deficiency is that the lighting causes the leftmost picture to be very slightly underexposed when compared to the other angles, but that is such a minor issue that it doesn't matter at all. (my monitor is probably not well calibrated either). Purpy Pupple (talk) 22:22, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support But Purpy is correct, I think it'd be improved if the LHS element was dodged a bit. Noodle snacks (talk) 00:15, 26 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support: That's a weird placement in the article, and I wonder how long it will stay there, but I strongly suspect it will be staying in the article. J Milburn (talk) 11:43, 27 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
