- Support as nominator – JJ Harrison (talk) 09:41, 9 June 2019 (UTC)
- Support both, prefer crop. MER-C 13:42, 9 June 2019 (UTC)
- Support – Bammesk (talk) 17:32, 9 June 2019 (UTC)
- Comment – The foreground bokeh looks odd, its transition to the in focus area is abrupt, as if it is software generated, or the result of some sort of focus or aperture stacking. Bammesk (talk) 23:35, 9 June 2019 (UTC)
- There appears to be a peak and trough in the rock where that occurs. MER-C 10:21, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
- Support Alt 1 Geoffroi (talk) 19:40, 9 June 2019 (UTC)
- I find the foreground a little too distracting, but would support a slight crop. Adam Cuerden (talk)Has about 6.7% of all FPs 17:01, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
- Comment I agree with Adam Cuerden, just a slight crop from the bottom would make the blurred foreground less distracting. Mattximus (talk) 22:25, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
- @JJ Harrison, MER-C, Bammesk, Geoffroi, and Mattximus: I've uploaded a crop. Also, Support Alt 1 Adam Cuerden (talk)Has about 6.7% of all FPs 10:28, 11 June 2019 (UTC)
- I yield to JJ Harrison. Bammesk (talk) 01:55, 12 June 2019 (UTC)
- I don't feel strongly about this. :) JJ Harrison (talk) 03:50, 12 June 2019 (UTC)
- Comment: You've cropped too much from the right. Never a good idea to crop a wildlife photographer's image. Just ask and see if he/she agrees. Charlesjsharp (talk) 10:36, 13 June 2019 (UTC)
Promoted File:Arenaria interpres 2 - Boat Harbour (cropped).jpg --Armbrust The Homunculus 13:53, 19 June 2019 (UTC)
- I disagree with Armbrust's reading of consensus. JJ Harrison's comment above "I don't feel strongly about this" shows dissatisfaction and resistance, it doesn't show willingness and support. I see 3 supports for the Original and 3 for the Alternate, not enough to promote either version. I have moved the nom to this section, hoping we get clarity. Pinging participants in case some may choose to comment: @JJ Harrison, MER-C, Geoffroi, Adam Cuerden, Mattximus, Charlesjsharp, and Armbrust:. Bammesk (talk) 01:49, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
- I think JJ Harrison is the one who should say. I read it as "I'm fine either way." Adam Cuerden (talk)Has about 6.7% of all FPs 02:41, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
- In "I don't feel strongly about this", I hear more resistance than acceptance. I agree that JJ Harrison can clarify. As is, I think we shouldn't close it as promote. Bammesk (talk) 03:35, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
- I agree with Adam Cuerden. The smiley face looks like acceptance to me. Geoffroi (talk) 06:03, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
- I agree with Adam. I would have closed this debate the same way. MER-C 14:55, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
- Ok, if JJ Harrison doesn't reply in a few days, I am Ok with closing the nom as is. Bammesk (talk) 15:08, 22 June 2019 (UTC)
- Take my comment to mean support of either. JJ Harrison (talk) 03:45, 17 July 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose Alt 1. Neutral on original Charlesjsharp (talk) 09:41, 20 June 2019 (UTC)*
- Charles, there is no Alt 2. I think you mean neutral on Original, and oppose Alt 1. Bammesk (talk) 15:08, 22 June 2019 (UTC)
- indeed. Charlesjsharp (talk) 15:18, 22 June 2019 (UTC)
