Original – The console of a Mighty Wurlitzer organ. Theatre Organs, such as this one at the Alabama Theatre, took the place of an orchestra during the age of silent films. Several manufacturers made them, and many instruments exhibited a high amount of artistic beauty. Today, many theatre organs have been preserved and are used by a number of enthusiasts who keep the heritage of the instrument alive.
